What Zoo was this? I'm no animal activist, I hate most groups..

But from what I've learned, swaying their head, like so, means that they are not excersising enough. Or that their pen is too small.

This is a bear that was rescued from the circus in Mexico and brought to the NC zoo, where he is treated quite well. It is a result of being confined in a small, hot place. He does this less and less as time goes by, and actually most of the time is quite happy and playful with a large exhibit, plenty of water and toys.

Thank you for this answer. I was really worried about the conditions in this zoo. I`m so glad it's a rescued animal. It means that the liefe of the bear is going to get better!
