There should be a Disney Channel '80s and '90s or Classic Disney Channel.
That should go for all channels. Just play the exact same stuff from very long ago, commercials and all. It would be the easiest money made because there's nothing new they would have to produce.
Exactly. Nick at Night's TV Land used to show great classic programs and now it's turned into another reality show crap fest. I hate what big wigs do to great channels.
Hi! Home of the good guys, and the name Gary Stevens sound very familiar. I grew up in the Detroit area, listening to WKNR and CKLW. Is there any connection?
I love this song, had the LP, but it broke in 1965. Never forgot it, but was unsure if it was as good as I remembered. Hadnt heard it in 30 years.
With internet, suddenly I realised I could buy it online - dear god 1996 or something. It arrived after a few weeks, and the big moments carrying it home and putting it on the cd-player.time stood still. I shooed my kids out, and put it on. And it was still SO GOOD!!!! Now the kids know it by heart too. Thank you for the charming video.
Dude, on DVD? don't tease. You gotta let me know where to get that. My brothers and sisters and I are mostly grown (6 of the 17 are too young to remember DTV) and we would love to relive the memories of pre- Hannah Montana/HS Musical Disney Channel.
According to the video, "(Just Like) Romeo & Juliet" by the Reflections was not a Motown song, but the single was released on the Golden World label. Golden World was a small label in Detroit which was outside of Motown back in the 60's.
Disney footage used in Billy Preston's song ALICE IN WONDERLAND TROMBONE TROUBLE PLUTO'S FLEDGLING DUMBO MOVING DAY THE SWORD IN THE STONE DONALD AND THE WHEEL BEACH PICNIC GOOFY'S GLIDER THE FLYING SQUIRREL WINNIE THE POOH AND THE BLUSTERY DAY
Taegtv, thank you for putting this up!!! I remember watching this when I was a kid (I know I have a copy on VHS burried somewhere in my basement...lost for sure). This was my first intro to Billy Preston too. Thumbs up to Billy! Thumbs up to DTV!
Did ya know Billy Preston was sometimes referred as "the Fifth Beatle"? O.o This is his one out of two of his songs to reach #1 on the Billboard charts and it is so cool!! I dig DTV's choices!
Would it have killed them to make some with

The first song "(Just Like) Romeo & Juliet" was taken from the LP "Gary Stevens Presents 22 Good Guy Goldies - Vol. 1" on the Lost Nite label.

I can't believe this! "Romeo & Juliet" is a song from Golden World Records from '64. Motown bought the label in '66.

Don't think I knew that. Agreed about DTV's choices - out of some 150 songs I know, there might be only five I don't like.

Would you have anymore DTV stuff by chance?
