  • You should do strict form pull ups just so we can see the difference in quantity. I am honestly curious to see the comparison.

  • You should do that in strict form, keeping your body still

  • They're called kipping pullups Swoko and they are the default type of pullup in CrossFit.

  • yeah but crossfit is gay now and they just cant accept the fact thir modalities are different...so instead of saying "heres a guy doing 40 kipping pull ups",,,they just put "pull ups" in their attempt to not be marginalized. Kipping pull ups are easier. period. this guy would burn out at 20 or so on dead hangs

  • The reason for kipping pullups is so that the exercise can be used for metcon.

    There are guys that can blast through 100 kipping pullups in anywhere from 2 to 4 minutes. It taxes the body in a whole different way. They are easier, but they are a completely different movement as well. There is coordination involved, and usually the idea is doing them for speed.

    Seems that you are the one who cannot accept the different modalities.
