guessing from your extensive experience in maintaining this gun yourr mom probly bought that for you. but i do like the white macroline i might get that for my vice
ive NEVER seen... seen ONE stripped 3/16 socket hole, and that was done with the wrong sized wrench. the loctite is very weak, just strong enough to hold against vibration. its red and green that you have to worry about stripping smaller sockets with.
@baconator490 loctite is an anti vibration thread coating, not airtight seal(thats an accidental purpose) and the backcap vibrates plenty with that huge rammer cycling.
@baconator490 yeeeah, out of the probably 200000 times i took that cap off, no wear. n from your profile it looks like you like to pick fights on youtube to feel cool. so yes, in your fantasy world, youre right, putting liquid on threads will disentigrate them until they spontaneously explode, just like in the movies -_-
@baconator490 I didn't think it needed loctite either but after using my vice which seems like almost 2 years now its started coming loose giving me problems if I don't use blue loctite
gratz. i can say that im a tech for biohazard, bht, amh, and a few other teams if i want to. being a tech means squat lol. only time being a tech means something is when you are a tech for the company, not a team.
Dude you obviously don't know shit but what somebody showed you so don't go talking shit when obviously you are giving people answers that you have no idea what the hell your talking about
not really. i know how the gun works, why it works how it works, how it breaks down, and how to fix it when it does. thats what a tech does. just cuz im not an old fart doesnt mean i know less than the old fart you praise. now please, gtfo with your uselessness.
i shot my vice and it worked perfect, then later on for some reason the bolt does not go forward really fast so the ball just falls out the end. Where is the velocity adjust? Or what do i need to do to get it to fire at normal speed?
wow i guess im gonna have to go trigger happy on this thing. so far i've only shot a case over the weekend and i've lost count how many times i went up to fill up my tank(68/4500). Its a good thing the air is free.
you need to adjust it if thats the case i got 1400 shots out of a hot fill 68/4500 tank when i got mine you need to adjust the lpr and reg properly or you will not get the best officiency
dude lock tight is perfectly fine to use on your gun, just make sure that it is blue lock tight NOT RED LOCK TIGHT!!! that will stay on the gun, blue wont
anyone have trouble with Fps? My gun was firing like 120,200,160,240,190 and so-on. I was using reballs and im not sure if that was it but i think it might be my lpr screw backing out...what do you think?
not using dow55 is completely contradicting the conditions and tests that every timmy ever made has gone through. would it be so terrible to spend the 20 bucks and get an 8 oz jar of dow55 for your timmy?
55 sucks. makes the orings wear out faster. less consistent. etc. higher dwell/pressure. tests have been conducted that proves that lurker lube works better and performs better, but the tests were ignored and shunned.
so as long as you dont get a vice with shitty tolerances(bobs cheap, so the tolerances on his guns are pretty damn big) then you can use regular lube. the 55 covers up the tolerance mistakes.
Dow 55 has been recommended for use in EVERY Timmy ever made. I am 100% sure that Bob knows far more than you do about paintball marker operation (especially about his own markers). There is also no reason to lube the metal on the rammer, the o-rings are the only part that contact the inside of the marker. If you put a dab of lube on the end of the ram it will be gone after the first shot. And there is no need to loctite the ram cap, it just needs to be snug.
haha no u can only use the cure or cure2 on the planet eclipse guns. violent however makes a bolt for the vice that looks almost identical to the cure2 that fits the vice. but i hear the pillow is well good enough
are you crazy, the back cap isint even saposto be that tight you should know this from owning an etek and to use lock tight on it your asking for osmething bad to happen
i was wonderin what bob reccomends on the bolt...dow 55 or just a random lube like say extreme rage, stuff like that. i was kinda thinkin about usin lurker btw cuz i personally hate 55
I personally run mine dry and it works fine, and doesn't clog the eyes or anything obviously. Lots of people run Timmy bolts dry. Just clean them down after every day of play, that's all you need.
Terrible vid. Why would he put lurker over 55........ Lol. Fucking kids

The black stuff is actually graphite from the lube.

@stewey956 no graphite in paintball lube. its oring remnants/junk.

lock tight on a ram cap is really not a smart move
you are going to strip it
invertmini303 2 years ago
youd have a valid point if
A) it wasnt blue, temporary, loctite
B) a 3/16 socket
ive NEVER seen... seen ONE stripped 3/16 socket hole, and that was done with the wrong sized wrench. the loctite is very weak, just strong enough to hold against vibration. its red and green that you have to worry about stripping smaller sockets with.
azminisk8r 2 years ago
@azminisk8r there is still no point of putting even blue loctite on the ram cap it should already have an airtight seal without it.
baconator490 1 year ago
@baconator490 loctite is an anti vibration thread coating, not airtight seal(thats an accidental purpose) and the backcap vibrates plenty with that huge rammer cycling.

hey how many cases you have to fire through the vice to brake it in? is it normal for the vice to use a lot of air on a first time shooting it?
coolasice888 3 years ago
uhm about 10 cases
im not sure but i have like 5 through my vice and its shooting awesome efficiency like maybe over half a case off a full 68/4500
gepridecmc 3 years ago
wow i guess im gonna have to go trigger happy on this thing. so far i've only shot a case over the weekend and i've lost count how many times i went up to fill up my tank(68/4500). Its a good thing the air is free.

hmmm i got mine used so idk how much you will need to shoot to see some increase of efficiency.
if you dont start to see improvements by sayy....4 or 5 cases then i would call BL and ask
gepridecmc 3 years ago
you need to adjust it if thats the case i got 1400 shots out of a hot fill 68/4500 tank when i got mine you need to adjust the lpr and reg properly or you will not get the best officiency

im actually starting to see good result on my vice in terms of air efficiency. i shot about 3 cases through it so far.

and how can you comment on mikes swearing when you can swear 3 times in one response to someone?
also wondering if youve ever talked to a BL tech or BLAST about anything...

long gone. done over a year ago. but chemically as well, lurker wins.
swearing 3x= not excessive.
yes. they all said to use 55. too bd.

yes it has, because of bobs shitty tolerances on every timmy ever made...
lube on the metal helps as well. holds it there, and the air going by will occasionally move it over the oring.
loctite>metal to metal bonding.

you can't get much better than the stock pillow bolt, quite honestly.
deegan463 3 years ago
why would u put loctite on the ram cap? just tighten it down and ur good to go.
deegan463 3 years ago 2
cuz the vibrations from the gun firing can make it come loose.
azminisk8r 3 years ago
ya the lock tight is great. without it my reg comes loose sometimes.

uhm... yeah, wtf are you talking about. backcap isnt supposed to move. and yes its supposed to be tight, and yes you can use loctite on it.
