  • oh my bad sorry

  • dsdude1107 would never do such a thing...

  • @XxC655SUPASTARxX Read the comments first. He admitted it was a screw up. Not only WOULD he do it - he DID do it.

  • this is true, i suppose i was wrong, and i'm sorry i was ignorant on a few facts, i was moody at the moment and i was wrong. Continue with what you're doing, i suppose one person can make a big difference. Whether famous or not.

  • I did watch the video, and you really don't make points, just show how to make an 8bit with GXSCC or whatever it was, you're a good person for bringing it up, but know what or who you're accusing man, hope I didn't cause any unneccessary roughness

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx Didn't make any points? I pointed out that the version of FF7 'Electric de Chocobo' on DSDudes account was the same version on VGMusic, just ran through GXSCC. There's no roughness, just know that there IS a premise to this video, rather WAS- it's rather outdated by now.

  • If you really understand verbal assault, you'd also know that it only matters when what i say makes you feel unsafe, the only time it can be prosecuted is when it is racially motivated, not only was there a flimsy slander case, but a flimsy verbal assault case, too, dipshit.

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx Pot, this is kettle. Shitty accusations ey? Verbal abuse is loosely defined, like slander- which is what everyone seems to parrot at me concerning this video. If i take things too seriously, why are you here, trying to convince me otherwise? Besides, dumbasses like you cannot tell what "art" is with your statement of "you take 8 bit too seriously" - Music is a form of expression using whatever means necessary. It really shows your devotion to "Matt", Trivializing what he did.

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx I obviously struck a nerve with you retards, seeing as how you seem so pissed off and ready to fire off such an angry string of malice my way. Funny story - I wasn't looking to really provide a service, merely form a shrine to saying what a bunch of bullshit he was pulling. Oversights are so easy to deny, aren't they? At least until someone points them out. Only action i see from "fans" of DSDude1109 is whining at how wrong i am, But don't you know? You're talking to a wall.

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx I've already served my purpose here. I find it hilarious how viciously you guys defend him. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that his fans are rabid dickholes with nothing to back up their baseless threats. I'm also laughing at how you somehow take it upon yourself to be the arbitrary point that judges effectiveness. 16 likes, 15 dislikes. Likers outweigh the Haters. If i had just reached one, I did my part. My main failure to yield here is - Did you even watch the video?

  • also, i didn't "tell" you to kill yourself, i said i hope you do, shitty accusations like that, since you're obviously some sort of lawyer, go in favor of the accused.

  • huh. good case. you gonna call the police with your Microsoft Sam shit cuz you dont feel like using a phone, but they get the point anyway. You didnt even use your voice. And this video serves as a reminder how, to the thousand people who've watched it? Not making a mark my friend. If you think you've done a service, you're wrong. You obviously take 8-bit too seriously "artist". It's made for enjoyment. Whether someone is accredited or not, they're happy someone's listening to them. Good day.

  • another valid point. Do you think Matt, (even if he did) stole those with bad intentions, like in his mind (muahahaha- time for more stealing and mayhem, hahahaha) or, (man im getting requests everywhere and people really like this. I'll just use a last resort.) I hope you take a 10mm handgun, load it, put it in your mouth, and pull the trigger. You're worse than him. Maybe I'll put a case on your ass for slander? How'd you like that, huh?

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx Aw, Cute, another one of DSDudes fans coming to play white knight at me. Could i trouble you to cut to the damn chase without attempting to justify thievery by sheer ass-kissery for a past issue that's already been resolved? this video stays as a reminder. Sure, you can shine the spotlight on me and say I've never done wrong. "No ones perfect" blahblah, but when you make yourself a public figure such as "Matt" did with such a glaring breach in operation here, You will be exposed

  • @xXTeLeKiNeTiCXx Further more, I enjoy how you all think i'm doing some injustice here by simply accusing someone. Are you aware that by telling me to kill myself, I can press charges against YOU? Look up 'verbal assault' and read how it extends to internet law. Good job dumbass, your flimsy slander case just collapsed under threatening someone. Like all stupid children on the internet, you have no concept of reality or justice. I implore you to attack me, dig things up, expose me. Your move.

  • pardon me, but could i trouble you to not make videos about other people like that? like you have NEVER done anything bad, man. When i was a kid, i helped people cheat on tests, there's something i did bad earlier, How about you? How would you feel if i made a video about you that was based on your past, that you are not even known for anymore. He took his 8-bits down. Take this down. That's my challenge to you, sir.

  • @demolishb98 ps: the term you're looking for is SLANDER, not FRAUD. Fraud is what i'm accusing, Slander is what this technically could be. Learn your legalese, kid, before you get a law book shoved up your ass.

  • @dsdude1107 Also why was there 3 different versions in my email box? Did ya comment 3 times?

  • @mogstah typos and rewordings. my bad =p

  • Just so you know. i'm deleting my 8bits this upcoming weekend. mainly, cause i'm an LP'er now, so I don't like being known for something i don't do. i mean, it was a novelty at the time, but it's amusement has passed. i used midi recognition software alongside gashisoft. all the ones i got from vgmusic i credited, with the exception of the glitched descriptions. but yea, they'll all be gone in a week or so. sorry, for all the hooplah that whole phase caused.

    Hope there's no hard feelings

  • @dsdude1107 lol it's all good.

  • @demolishb98 lolol it's been 3 years, come at me, bro.

I find it hillarious you're all defending him when he publicly admitted the infraction. Your threats go unanswered, good sir.

As for the TTS - It was an 8am rant :P Keep giving me views, by the way, i don't give a fuck.

  • so, people are thumbing down dsdude1107's comment where he basically tells you how he made the music where he doesn't credit other people simply because he made it... what happened to defending yourself?

  • umad?

  • @krazykyuubilv2 ENRAGED!!! FFFFUUUUUU

  • I knew already and

you could've easily said this in one sentence.

Your taking this way to far : l

  • @BreinStijn PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT!

  • y do u care?

  • @xUnReAL25 Because if no one says anything, then everyone accepts it as being fine.

  • lire your a fuking troll hes not a thife so go to hell

  • @newvagasbaby2 U MAD, BRO?

All evidence says otherwise - Prove me wrong.

  • @mogstah u dot know if he evan has that so go die

  • @newvagasbaby2 Are you even capable of mounting a plausible argument? it's fairly obvious he rips MIDIs from VGMusic without attributing the artists.

What are you anyways, his fuckbuddy?

  • @mogstah im not gonna argue with a fag so shut up

  • @newvagasbaby2 lulz. That's because you're a dumbass who couldn't validate their argument. I'm sorry I made you cry.

  • I have Famitracker.

  • @SPS148669 Cool.

  • trollz

  • Many people put original songs into their videos. So wouldn't 8 bitting a song without a converter still be stealing?

  • @thecheaterdude if you call it your own composition then yes, it's stealing. Most people put credits on who made the song. Granted in this case, he says the title of the song and what it's from, but my gripe is that he's taking compositions that he had no part in, and is acting like they're his own. It's retarded....

  • @mogstah has nobody read his defense on pages 4 and 5?

  • @krazykyuubilv2 I doubt it.

  • @mogstah and here's the problem. people are only getting one side of the argument here and it becomes unfairly stacked against Matt. In any case, his channel is known for Let's Plays, this was merely a side project he did for fun.

  • @krazykyuubilv2 lol i see you called me an asshole - Silly blind fanboys foaming at the naysayers, you're all so blind. I'm not hiding/deleting any comments, they're all below. It's up to everyone to make their own assessments and judge accordingly - nothing i said here was unfair or even biased, simply a challenged statement- I can't hold everyones hand and say PLZ READ COMMENTS OMG IM SO WRONG , but we don't need to now, do we?

  • And this is why I am iffy about releasing my MIDIs on the internet.. Damn GXSCC thieves are everywhere.. -_-

  • Hey i got the GXSCC but how do i make my own music

  • I mean look. If you are going to use GXSCC and use someone's sequenced. CREDIT them. At least put their name in the video like 'MIDI Sequence by such and such' or 'I had borrowed such and such's MIDI' AT LEAST give credit to where it is due.. Because, if you REALLY did that with someone's works from a company? Get ready for lawsuit..

  • @8BitManiac he DID credit others when he used someone else's MIDI, but the youtube multifile uploader glitched the descriptions and he didn't notice for a long time. People are making him out to be a crook; some of the 8bit remixes are actually sequenced by him, the ones where he uses a midi (the early ones) were credited. I know the guy, he's not one to steal content.

  • Poor DSdude. I tried using GXSCC once, with my OWN music, but it just isnt true 8-Bit. Why he has the audacity to claim them as his own is beyond me. Great video.

  • @MegaMacTV read his comments on page 4 and 5. people are making him out to be a bad guy when he's not.

  • It's not emulating the NES though, GXSCC emulates the SCC (Sound Control Chip) from Konami for the MSX computers. Also if you double click on the GXSCC logo it goes to GXOPLL mode where the MIDI's sound like DOS.

  • Thank you! At least someone knows the true reality of this software and it's purpose.

  • No problem. And in the readme file in this program, it says the snare drum sounds the way it sounds because it plays two snare drums at the same time. That's why it sounds flangy.

  • Comment removed

  • And that other guy too who stole Tsu Ryu's Raiden II MIDI and ran it with this program. Then claimed he did it.

  • falconpunch94 also steals MIDIs and runs them under GXSCC.. You should expose him too

  • Comment removed

  • BUSTED! good job exposing this crook.

  • lol, im a dif dsdude-when i saw this at first i was like wtF? lol

  • I don't see why the retards who "request" these *cough* 8-bit remixes (chiptunes) when they can easily open a MIDI with GXCSS themselves. Anyone want me to open a image file in paint? Or maybe you wish to request me to open an MP3 file in Winamp?

  • Beep beep. Boop boop. People like this are lame.

  • it's refreshing to see someone post a video like this. thank you. i myself am constantly ripped off on youtube by people like that. i'm seeing about maybe making a video and posting it on vgmusic's front page, exposing this stuff. It would be nice to get the word out, and I'd like to think our site could help with that, since we are fairly central to this entire youtube phenomena.

anyway, cheers. keep fighting the good fight ;)

  • Soooo True.

GXSCC requires no skill at all. They don't even really sound 8-bit. More like 8-bit with way to much polyphony. GXSCC has a very distinct sound, it's easy to catch, but it's prolific here on Youtube.

As for dsdude1107.. if it's on vgmidi then he's already done a rip-off remix of it. Either in GXSCC or by dropping it into a step sequencer and re-arranging.

  • Lastly, your argument about me not giving credit to the original authors: A long time ago, I did a very large upload using YouTube's glitchy Multi-File Uploader. I did credit everyone in the video descriptions, BUT the file uploader glitched MANY MANY times, cutting off the description lines, and I did not notice till recently nor do I have enough time to go look up the authors again. So, for this I do plead guilty, and would like to fully apologize to anyone it may have offended.

  • subscribers to my channel. Originally, I was just gonna make a few and stop, but they got so popular and brought so many listeners to my podcast, that I had to keep going. Yes, I also do more original content that I am also proud of, if you look around.

Look at these YouTube Channels for the content of mine, which I am more proud of:

    BrawlStages

    PCadvice

    GamersCastFilms

    dsdude1107

Yep, look around my main account and you'll see that I do more there than just the 8-bit Remixes.

  • In the videos which were not credited to people for making MIDIs, were credited because I MADE THE MIDI!!!

No, I'm not very good at making MIDIs yet, which is why I PURCHASED MIDI recognition software. I took the original sound files straight from the game, ran that through the program, and tweaked the MIDI that came out. Then, I droppped that MIDI..... my own MIDI.... Into that program.

So, please don't accuse me of being a disgrace and such.

For, right now, I ran out of room to comment... :-P

  • Dude......

    Ummm.....

    Okay......

First off, I'm curious at why people are so angry at me! I mean, yes, I'll admit I have used this program before in the past, and I did do it like this before....

    BUT!

I have changed my methods and I actually take a lot of work making mine. And in the instances when I did just drop a MIDI, I did give credit where credit was due. But YouTube appears to be cursed by people who do not read video descriptions. And..... (continued in next comment).

  • true NES music has 5 channels: Square1 Square2 Triangle Noise DMPC

  • Of course, which means that the polyphony produced by GXSCC is impossible to obtain on a single nintendo chip, it's just technically impossible.

  • 1. well, you can muste channels.

    2. I thaught that the NES only has 3 channels.

  • Game Boy has 4 channels (one being a "noise" channel) NES has about 8 or something.

  • No. NES has 3 voice channels (Rectangle, Rectangle 2, Triangle), Noise and PCM and in Japan FDS.

  • Some games like the Japanese version of CastleVania III can have more than five channels (like 8 extra ones) with a special add-on chip in the cartridge.

  • In another part he said he would upload more of HIS creations, which would turn the tables and insinuate that he himself did make them. So ask that try to understand where I'm coming from here. My opinion is that Mogstah makes a good point. But before automatically saying ok he's right and that other guys wrong, take the time to form out an appropriate opinion before thinking either Mogstah or dsdude is wrong.

  • (sorry for the bad spelling on that last one if there was any ^^')

  • The fact of, there is no source to where he got it, or any credits to the original authors. Maybe i'm being a nazi about it, but I think the only video where he cited the source was that nintendo megamix.

  • Ok and I'm back after racing through dsdude's channel and watching a few quick vids. These following comments are for everyone to read,so that some people can MAYBE understand that there are two sides to every story. I checked dsdude's work and found that in alot of his descriptions he says he found a program which can make songs sound 8-bit! He did NOT say he himself makes all the notes himself fit together to make a remix, which is an important thing.

  • Although you have helped me to greatly understand all this much better,I have to say I have very mixed feelings about all this. Especially in your tags for this video, which include fraud, ripoff, thief and,er...........theif.(lol) Erhem, well then anyway,That's all I have to say for this exact moment, but I'm not done! I want to look a little bit more into 8-bit videos to find more info,as I don't even have a definite opinion yet!
