I used a program called "Fraps" to capture a video while I was playing the simulator. And I used Windows Movie Maker to edit the video and make title screens, add pictures, etc

Hey, if anyone from WMG is reading this...this tactic you are using to go after anyone who is just using background music in their vidoes is NOT going to work. You are only going to create a huge public backlash. And in case you haven't been watching the news, we are in the middle of a severe recession, and on the verge of a DEPRESSION. You and the RIAA are only digging your own graves. The recording industry will be the next ones going to Congress and begging for a bailout.

hey, I was just going to say that I think I found a way around the stupid copyright censorship thing that WMG is doing. I'm pretty sure YouTube has some kind of software that can scan uploaded videos for MP3's in the soundtrack, and there is probably a way it reads imbedded data in the MP3 itself, like maybe some kind of DRMA thing. Then it compares that with songs on file.

...that's the only way I can think of where they could tell that you're using a copyrighted song. Because even if you don't mention the song in the title or in the description of the video, or in tags, they STILL send a copyright notice. And obviously, screening every video would be impossible. So it must be some kind of automated system that can detect the song in your soundtrack when you upload the video.

SO...what you have to do is "trick" it. Maybe use a microphone to record the song from a stereo or even your computer's external speakers.  Then it becomes an anlog recording, and there will be NO copyright data at all. As far as the computer is concerned, it's just noise. THEN, you can save that as a .WAV file or an .MP3 file and add it to your video, and the YouTube bots would never detect it. It would just think that it was noise in the background when you recorded the video.

no...and actually there is no online game. You just download it and then run it on your computer. You can get add-ons online, but you don't play it online.

dude...it's SpaceshipOne!! Look it up! The first private manned spacecraft! I don't remember what site I downloaded it from (it's not on the Orbit Hangar website like I thought it was). Just do a Google search for "spaceshipone" and "orbiter"

Read the manual.  When you get into space, you have to be sure the RCS thrusters are on. Hold down 'Control' on your keyboard and press the '/' key on the number keypad to turn on the rotation RCS mode.

Thanks, but wait a sec...do you mean with the Space Shuttle Atlantis? lol...how did you do that? The shuttle can only orbit Earth, it can't get enough velocity to fly to the Moon or planets. I haven't flown to Mars yet, but I did just fly to the Moon and back a few days ago. I used the Delta Glider XR-1. It's an add-on that's a mod of the original DG that comes with Orbiter. It's pretty cool and is my favorite ship to fly.

i have the beta version, and you can actually make it to mars, my dad is in the airforce so he learned a lot about this stuff since he plans on joinning NASA someday, so he helped me out =)

and we used unlimited fuel even though we only would have used 87% of the whole fuel supply which means we made it without needing to use it all

yes definately anyway why my ss1 addon has the view just behind the head of the pilot? it is strange, i have downloaded the version 2.0 of this addon, you got it from orbithangar?

You have to replace the SS1_Crew.dds file in the "Textures" folder. The patch will make the pilots invisible. The link in the Orbiter forum doesn't work anymore, but email me and I can probably just send you the file.  If anyone else is interested, send me a message.

Hey Bro' Great film, I'm an Orbit simmer too and I have the Latest SS1 Add-on but I have 3 goons in the cockpit and the pilot goon is blocking my view when i'm in the virtual cockpit, how did you get the un obstructed view?

There is a patch that will change the pilots to a transparent texture, but I don't remember where I downloaded it from. Go to the Orbiter website and then do a search in the forums, someone posted a link a while back. I would give you the address to the site, but YouTube blocks out links from comments!

nice vid. I'd recommend moving the mouse out of the shot next time or turn it off in fraps as it takes away from the video. Also you can press I to get rid of the sim info across the top of the screen.

I know. There's a lot of things I could have done better. I still don't really have that much experience with making videos, and definitely not with capturing them from the screen. I just wanted to make this video and upload it while I had the idea. Thanks for watching though.
