That choke was in DEEP.

It's hard trying to even get your fingers around their wrists at that point, it's a lot like those scenes in movies where people choke somebody with wire. That's pretty much how much of a chance you have at getting your fingers inside those arms/colalr. And, even then it's pretty much their entire upper body vs your arms.

His posture was broken too, if he was postured up then he could of pried his hands off.

@MrrBuddhaman it was invented in Judo so people could see the difference between the two competitors on TV. In BJJ you can wear whatever colour you want, but generally only white, blue and red (maybe) in competitions.

Incidentally, Kron's father Rickson only wears white and only allows white at his academy. I have never seen Kron wear another colour. White is the traditional colour. Blue and black were introduced later.

its just a regular gi choke. I dont think it has a real name to identify that I know of, but it normally is done with full guard to give the guy applying the choke more power. Very easy to learn, not easy to catch people in.

I can't really see exactly what it was at 1:58, but it looks like it was a standard collar choke.

Search for "Okuri eri jime". (I had to look the name up myself. When I studied Judo, it was strictly as a sport and the coach did not use Japanese terms. And when I studied BJJ, it was almost all no-gi.)

You can also search for "collar choke", but keep in mind that many different techniques are called "collar choke". But this one will be easy to recognize among the results.
