  • can anybody tell the name of the song?

  • I just came back from Istanbul. Celebrate my new year's eve there. Such a wonderful place to go. Words can't describe how much I love this place. I will definitely come to Istanbul again. Definitely! The Turkish people are really friendly and warm, they make strangers feel like home and when its time for you to leave, you'll feel hard to say good bye. I love Istanbul!!!! Love from Malaysia!

  • @quieroboy OMG!!! Thanks for that review.. It just feed my desire to visit this city, I don't fancy any other place in Europe more than this country. Do you think it is safe for a gay couple to visit the city? No that we will engage in any unmoral activity, we could just have a picture together or hold hands.

  • @hanks864 @hanks864 You may hold hands while taking a photo but wandering with holded hands in daily life or in regular streets is not a good choice (in whole eastern europe), but there's nothing to be afraid of. Besides there are many gay clubs, gay friendly restaurants or hotels in Istanbul, you may act freely there. You should check istanbulgay com. Have a nice trip...

  • I missed Istanbul very much hmmm...by the way, does anyone know what is the title of this song?

  • i was there December 2011- few days ago- for the second time...there are no words to describe the magic, the colors the smells, the people in this city...i never thought that i could love a city the way i love this one...i never thought i could love Turkey so much because of this city....love from Greece!!

  • This video went viral on New Hampshire

  • @jesscarey411 Can you please explain a bit more? What do you mean??

  • @SunriseArchive He/She means that video was shown on some TV channel in New Hampshire -a state in U.S-

  • @MrDenocan I sure know where New Hampshire is and what "viral" means but I wanted to learn why he wrote something like this. This video was an advertisement for the Capital of Culture campaign and was shown on several TVs around the globe...

  • Istanbul is one of the oldest cities in the world 1453 - 1922 between the Ottoman Empires, the Ottoman caliphate in 1517, the State passed, Islam abolished until 1924, also became the center of Istanbul, the Ottoman authorities in some quarters for the city was in favor of the other names for both the city and the Ottoman government to identify and diplomatic correspondence, especially served to encourage the honorific names and synonyms used استانبول, plenty of A-stan-or Istanbul

  • I tell you something.. There is LIFE

  • As a person who is 4th generation born and still living in Istanbul, i can say that this video shows only half of the beauties of my city. You can always find in Istanbul more than you'r looking for; history, art, exotism, fun, hospitality, experience, shopping, delicious meals, sophisticated places... All people are welcomed here. Muslims, Christians, Jews, whites or blacks no matter... 13.26 million people live here. This is Istanbul.... Greetings from Istanbul

  • salam istanbul is beautiful

  • I am not a city boy but I could live in Istanbul. Great City

  • 1453 fatih sultan mehmet Istanbul. 1923 ataturk turkey.

  • ıstanbul'a bayılıyorum (I love ıstanbul)

  • My cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandmas live in Istanbul!!! Istanbul cokkk guzel!!! :) I wish I could stay in istanbul forever!!!

  • İSTANBUL - TÜRKİYE !

  • Turkey is a secular country, too..İstanbul is modern,cultural,economic,nightlife a city 14 Million popilation!

  • Xstanbul 34_00_34 XSTANBUL!!!!!!!

  • My beautiful, beloved Istanbul. When my parents left there in 1957, the population had just surpassed 1.2 million! What is almost always lost in any discussion of Istanbul these days is the old traditional manners and etiquette for which our city was once renowned as well as our progressive liberal views and mindset. We were freed, not by Ataturk, but by the Tanzimat and Sultans Mahmut II, Abdulmecid and Abdulaziz.

  • I liked the part with Istanbul in it.

  • After the fake nato membership Turkiye is changed as more conservative islamist country. My country was more modern 30 years ago....

  • How well do Jewish people get along in Turkey?

    Greetings.

  • istambull its the largest city in europe or we can say the capital city of europe with population number of almost 15 milion people

  • @mlgkadir Istanbul isn't the largest city in Europe. Paris and Moscow are larger.

  • @Lasha368

Constantinopolis large then paris and moscow... 13 Million Population and great area.

  • @PsikoTTrex Istanbul was Constantinople

    Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople

Been a long time gone, Constantinople Even old New York was once New Amsterdam

Why they changed it I can't say

People just liked it better that way

  • @Lasha368 itambull = 15 milion people moscow = 11 milion paris = almost 5 milion london =almost 8-9 milion

  • turks , arabs, bosnians,albanians,greeks,kurds, = İstanbuL

  • world capital of city

  • great city

  • I just got lucky because i live in istanbul.

    this video is not good.

Why maiden s tower isn t in the video anyways???

  • I personally do not think that it is a good video. Why during the video they keep showing the same mosque again and again? Apart from Hagia Sophia Mosque (Ayasofya) and Sultanahmed Mosque, there are many different areas in Istanbul worth recording as well. For example, why Maiden's Tower (Kız Kulesi) is not in the video anyways? How about the beauty of Istiklal avenue and its tram. The list goes on like this. Its like the name of the video is 'European Capital of Mosques' or something.

  • @erhannnnn I was thinking the exactly same thing. Istanbul has so many cultures living in it, so many beautiful buildings and a beautiful history.. Even when this video gives me goosebumps, it isn't a good video to represent the beauty of Istanbul.

  • Salam Aleykum from Azerbaijan

  • It's a fantastic, beautiful, magnificent, unbelievably spectacular city...And just wait till you see Capadocia and beyond...

  • istanbul gerçekten mükemmel bir şehir , başka ne denilebilirki?

Enjoy Istanbul while you can!

  • it s a perfect video...my eyes is full of tears...LOVE TO ISTANBUL...

  • ISTANBUL<3 IS A REAL DREAM....

  • The name of the song is "Istanbul Music" by Ömer Ahunbay

  • Westerners are such hypocrites - they nominated Istanbul as the European Capital of Culture in 2010 but are constantly rejecting Turkey's membership in the EU. In fact, Asia Minor was a cradle of European civilisation, the Germanic medieval architecture is a humble copy of the Byzantine art. Finally, Europe is not a monolithic and monocultural place but a mix of different ethnicities and cultural influences. I would definitely love to see Turkey as part of EU. Would love to retire in Turkey:)

  • @ronaldpk2000 And what the hell does being capital of culture has to do with being a member in EU? Stating that the western are hypocrates because of that is just ignorant.

  • @ronaldpk2000

Sorry, kardashim, but both Turkey and Europe must get over a few problems before they can trust one another very well. Both Germany and France have problems with integrating different cultures into their societies, and besides that, Turkey still holds onto northern Cyprus. I for one as a Greek support your membership because it will heal old wounds, but I will not lie to myself that things look very well for Turkey's entrance.

  • This is how we do..Since 1453, Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered that paradise...by wisdom!!!

  • I love Istanbul

  • i love turkey, it's a beuautifull country

  • woow it's beautifull, LOve TURKEY

  • @MelisYiik well sure it is..Instanbul was the capital of the Byzantine (Greek) Empire and well..most of the ancient buildings you see are in fact Greek. e.g. the monument in the begging is tha Agia Sofia Church..the Ottomas after they conquered the city gave it their touch as well, that's why it's such a multicultural & beautiful city.

  • @Marinemauro the byzantine empire was roman

  • @Marinemauro the byzantine empire was roman. The Greeks were conquered by the Romans and the name byzantine was coined by a german historian in the 19th century. The byzantine empire was really just the eastern roman empire.

  • @Marinemauro I am sorry but that's wrong. There are many Byzantine buildings as well as past civilizations buildings in Istanbul. That's what makes Istanbul so beautiful and multi cultural. However, the buildings you will see are overwhelmingly Ottoman buildings. Ottoman culture was very sophisticated, that is the reason you are confused I guess. For example, famous Yalis, there are 700 of them but only 3 of them is greek but their look is similar to European architecture.

  • @norelojon and buddy what the 2nd thing makes it beaurtifull is FATİHG SULTAN MEHMET,MOSQUES,AND FATİH'S MERCY THAT COMBİNED MOSQUE AND THE CHURCH TOGETHER THATS ALL İ NEED TO SAY :)

  • video is missing so many things, even many palaces are not even shown there, there are more beautiful mosques and churches etc...

  • i love istanbul great city great culture

    thank you a lot

  • Thanks @SunriseArchive really awesome video, Love Istanbul!
