do you have to buy special fuel or can you use gas and oil mixed together or something? im new to the rc world.

@byron11001 it runs on "airplane" fuel, NitroMethanol in different percentages, i think from 5 to 40% the more percentage, the more power you get from the fuel and engine, but more chance you will kill it also ^

The oil is already mixed in with the tornade fuel, however after you finished running, you need Afterrun Oil to put in the engine, because the nitromethanol can be corrosive on some engine parts and damage them afetr time!

i have the same savage 25 but the only bad thing is that i bought it when i was in 7th grade and now im a senior and i never not once turned it on..yea i kno it sucks and i bought new shocks and new muffler but never turned it on..never reallly knew how to work it thats y but now i have to buy a starter and a glow starter in order for it to work..man watching this video made me want my truck to start running oh but it will real soon...good video

How well are those Integy clutch shoes working out for ya? I don't feel I need to replace the ones in my Savage yet but, the stock Traxxas set I have in my T-Maxx just flat out suck....the spring pops way too often for my liking.

@MrShadowman16 this is tuned in yes, but standard parts.

Later i put a other 14 tooth clutch and aluminum clutchshoes+springs, and an highflow airfilter.

Increased power acceleration and gasreaction ALOT :) then later it crashed top speed onto a football bcuz the battery fell out the savage.......@ full gas x( the thing almost drove a guys foot off x) but since then, it costed me about 300 to make it perfect+stronger again (alu parts) and it never drove again.

BUT IT WILL BE ALIVE NEXT YEAR!

@XNeo27564 yeah, i know how you feel..i lost reception with me car and it drove full speed into a wall and i lost both front wheels and front shocks and the whole diff..it was a mess and it also cost about 300$ to fix. and since then Ive had a fail-safe and it's done a lot, try them ;)

Awesome savage! i have a tamiya nitrage with a 5.2 engine, rotostart, modified suspension shocks , 2 speed transmition, locked differentials, and it can go 100km+!! i run it on 20% nitro, are the savage rims and tires durable enough cuz i wanna try them on mine?

Yes u can m8, rotostarter is an addon plate on back of engine+ rotostarter itself ofc.

reverse is on front of engine @ gearbox.

i had a MGT 8.0 for my first nitro and that thing sucked i could never get it tuned and it was a big waste money but i;ve been wanting to try it again but this time with a savage x ss kit, that was the truck i wanted but i saw the mgt and got that, how i wish i would have stuck with the savage!!!!

@astaschak Its a great piece a technique, imho its worth the money but if you crash it wrong or dont take care of it, yes it will break fast like any other machine.

@astaschak i have run 5 gallons of fuel through my savage, done llike 15 foot jumps, and beat the shit out of it, and the only problem i have ever had is a broken shock shaft ($10 to fix) i would definatly recommend this truck over traxxas...

The truck makes me feel 12 again, but in a grown up way lol... yes its very fun, i personally like/love the sounds etc. how much power and RPM comes out the crazy little machine. its amazing :)

I dont know your situation, but you could always try save some cash and buy it one day :)

Reset the screws to standard positions, refer to the manual, i have forgot everything.

When it runs, dont throttle it fast, try to throttle it as minimal as possible (0.5/1mm), and feel when you can give a little more till it wakes up, then slowly gas it on till it broke through, and warmed up a little.

Hope this works, i havent used mine in a while and forgot lean or rich causes so maybe someone can clearify that for you if that,s the case ;)

yo these RTRs, like the savage you got, watch out for loose screws because you don't know how well the manufacturer or whoever put that together, on my Hpi firestorm i lost like two screws in one week

@RoyalsChamp5 Top should be 40/45 mph maybe little more, i changed the clutch and clutcbell tooths, it had insane power, air filter from old rex-x 3.5 which was bigger inlet and it accelerated perfect, haha and raced standard savage away in 2nd gear :):)

You can go as fast as you like, within realistic limits ofcourse.

Yes it was, i didnt jump too much though, savy is broken now, need new turnbuclkes and steer servo :(, battery malfunctioned, and savage went beserk into a wall :p

oh man thats shitty. that happened to my first nitro I had one of the cheap no name ebay rc's and the throttle servo quit workng at full throttle it did crash into anything but it flipped over and reved up so high that the tires were about 8 inched tall by the time I could get there it ran out of fuel, it never ran right ever since.
