Even today, Japan makes itself only good at sick, immoral pink films and pathetic at building a tank. Type 90? My ass. Good mobility, gun, fire control, but no night vision and cannot operate at night???? Even a North Korean, shitty, 50yr old T-54/55 would beat that thing with its own Russian made, 1950s (at the time shit) night vision sights, for God's sake!

Yamato is the biggest waste of steel, resources and so forth I have ever seen for an empire that was in the stone age in technology, (F4F had so many technical advantages over the Zero, no more than the god damn Oscar with even LESS armor, JUST to turn and little fire power VS self sealing fuel tanks, good optics, excellent fire power and an armoured cockpit but JUST DOWN in mobility....) with carriers with NO armoured fuel tanks... (Shokoku blew up for 1 reason - 1 torp hit the fuel, BINGO!)

Funny how almost everyone pays attention to who has the bigger guns, and ignores the fact that the typical New York class could easily outmatch the Yamato because, unlike Yammi, it had good fire control, good radar, good guns, faster firing, equal spread, good armor but relatively equal and not overdone (though the only good thing on Yammi was armor.) and was actually a lot harder to hit VS a giant piece of metal... LOL.

Just to be clear, 7 classes of Battleship make an appearence in this game: ALLIES: New York Class Renown Class King George V class Iowa Class JAPANESE: Kongo class Fuso class Yamato class They did a good job for the Japs, except they for got to includes the Nagato and Ise classes. As for the allies, they forgot to program so many BB classes that I cant list them due to limited character cont

Ok, heres a tip, DO NOT level bomb the Repulse and Prince of Wales. Equip the Nells/Betttys with torpedoes. Group them in two fromations, and focus on 1 ship at a time. But Before you do that, KO the Hermes, it'll make the mission A LOT easier

Yamato and Musashi were of the same class, so they were more or less perfect copies of one another

If either ship of the Yamato class was stronger it was the Yamato, because the Yamato was refitted to defend against air attack after the Musashi was sunk. But technically the Shinano was the strongest of the Yamato class being it was converted to a carrier, it had a longer striking distance and more armor, though once it was converted it was technically no longer Yamato class.

@98RamMagnum what do you mean by more armor? the shinano wasn't as good armored as it would be as a battleship. It did feature an armored deck designed to resist against 1000lb bombs though... but yamato had even thicker there too. it's armament consisted nearly competely of AA. -Not stronger there either.

@Roby456mm The Yamato only had better AA AFTER the Shinano was sunk, basically after her refit. But you're right about it having less armor than the actual Yamato class. Don't know why i said the Shinano did.

@98RamMagnum Aiiircraft didn't count with my comment, but the Shinano did have better AA than the Yamato. they had over 300 AA rockets aboard, but AS armament of the Yamato was far superior to the Shinano strangely enough...

You never really seem to get a feel for just how big some of these Battleships were in BSM hopfully the cockpit mode in BSP will straighten this out.
