I had the same bond with a toy Koala my grandparents put in my crib, then a toy tortoise until I was nagged to death by my parents who hated that fluffy little orange and green reptile!

We are given these toys to cling to as infants, and we must be educated out of them. Learn to replace the need for something inanimate with the understanding we have all we need inside ourselves.

The Koala and the tortoise are shut in a box in my office for nostalgic reasons. I regard them fondly.
