St. Maartan is not first I've landed a 777 there and I've landed at Tegucigalpa in Honduras and it is so much harder the terrain drop is huge and the mountains 50ft away are higher than you on approach and you have to make a 40 degree turn. You have some good ones on there Gibraltar is pretty hard too. Kai Tak is like London City on Crack.

Princess Juliana International Airport maybe exciting for spotters, but it isn't that much for the pilots, and definitely not dangerous, as a pilot myself I would rather fly on st maarten than saba or courchevelle for instance. Apart from that, nice index!

Madeira's airport was difficult yeas ago when it size was half smaller.

Nowadays is amongst dozens of a litle more complicated ,but never to be considered so risky. Its quite technical so the simulators lo

ve it...and it is always presente there.It is also a fantastic work of engineering , on a very beautifull island.

actually saint marteen is 2nd and first is saba because a b747 can land saint marteen but can not land saba and saint marteen approach is above the water saba is above near the mountain

@erikch1995 It's funny actually-I was there last October and it's an absolutely beautiful island. It's part of Portugal but in fact it's a lot closer to the West coast of Africa than it is to Europe!
