he had as good a five years as any in the toon, but there must be a reason he has left 8 or 9 clubs in the last 3 years, summat has gone wrong for robert, i still have him on the back of my shirt and love him but im being cautious. give him a trial chris but dont rush him, as good as he was, he was always controversal

One of my favorite players for Newcastle in the past 20 years and one of only a handful that would get you out of your seat when he got the ball along with Gascoigne, Ginola, Asprilla and Beardsley. Took us to the Champions League and I will always remember the two Spurs strikes. Arrogant? Maybe. Lazy? Yes. Watch-winner? Of Course.

Bar Woodgate, out defence was not half as good as the rest of the team. If we had a better defence we would have won the league.
Robert was a quality player for us, a true character and one that will be remembered. Scored some awesome goals too
