regarding the change of voice, it's just I use a different microphone when we actually record. The talking part, I'm just using my poopy webcam microphone. And I don't use a pick cause I have bad habits. I'm pretty terrible at using a pick actually. So shame on me :(

Yea, we wanted to do the song a little differently, plus Sarah has a nice solo voice, so we decided to have her do a little improv in the beginning. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
