MLW had a number of shows in Orlando and Ft.Lauderdale. I saw Paul London vs. Jerry Lynn, I saw Sonjay Dutt become a star in the J-Cup tournament, saw CM Punk, and the worst match I ever witnessed, Somoa Joe vs. Mike Awesome, just 2 guys who didn't mesh well together. I also remember standing 2 feet away from Terry Funk getting his ass beat during a promo near the vendor tables.. Raven trying to make a few extra bucks selling an autographed photo.. Ahh, good memories
sinister minister and whipwreck promos from the late days of ecw were hilarious when whipwreck was doing his pyromaniac gimmick, this one is good too how long was mlw running for
MLW ran for 2 years between 2002 and 2004. Was a good promotion even if it went through many restarts, made a few mistakes (like replacing Joey Styles with Kevin Kelly) and being a tad bit ECW'ish. Although it was never a direct copy, it made good use of the old ECW formula and altered it to its own hybrid product, clever man is Court Baeur.
I remember the TV show being produced by the same guys that produced the old ECW shows. The feel of them was the same and it came of well. AS for Mitchell, I remember at the time he had an interesting stable with Whipwreck, Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn.
Whippers has really bad injuries resulting from his time in ECW so could never work full-time for the WWECW if he was approached. Considering Vince isn't that into him as a talent and probably views him as highly as WCW did, I doubt it somehow. Also Whippers is involved with the NYWC and their trainig school.
This rly could have been something great!

MLW was awesome. If things had come together a little sooner, people would be watching MLW on Spike instead of TNA. I miss it.
