I use a Rode and the screen works better than the 90 degree angle. Still picks up a lot of p and s sounds. Very nice though once you find what works for you. Keep the vids coming.
hopefully the pop filter will sort out the anoying sounds we hear, i like the sound of it for podcasts and that. i think the isight would be better for most your videos though.
funny how you never comment till you have something bad to say. I have done my research people. You hold the mic 3-6 inches away. People always think they know better and they dont have one single video.,
You did your research? I thought you did video editing professionaly?
You need to back of from the mic dude. It is honest critisism. I know I over modulate once in a while but I am not making videos trying to tell other people what to buy and how to record podcasts.
do you research AT ALL. You need to be 3-5 inches from the mic, especially this one. Your audio sounds like its recorded on a web cam dude, stop criticizing if oyu cant do better. Do you want me to own you on that cause I can?
I used set up Mic systems and PA systems every day you idiot. We had noise gates and limiters dude. No over modulation. Get good equipment if you are going to do a video about getting good audio.
Please feel free to own me jackass but you were better of using the webcam. When I use my DV CAM I do not get pops or plosives do I?
We have the right to criticize your video because you doing a video telling people how to record good audio but it sounds like crap.
When I was hunting for a new USB Mic I considered getting that one, other one I wanted was the Audio Technica AT2020. I considered getting either one, but eventually went with a Logitech USB mic instead. I'm happy so far with it, but if I was going to do podcasting then I'd certainly put out more money for a better one.
Applesoldier, it sounded worse than before. You need to invest in a limiter because You are over modulating at times and your Ps are causing plosives. I do it in my videos. I have a limiter and a compressor but I do not use it for youtube. You should just stick with the webcam microphone unless you have a limiter. I would if I were you. I over modulate myself now and then but you did it way to much and have way to many plosives.
It is easier to work with a webcam mic or a lapel microphone.
A mic like that, should be at least a half a foot away, if that thing cost over $50 and you need to be that close, it's a rip off, my little $12 iMicro webcam w/ mic, can pick up my voice clearly from over 2 feet away.
My headset mic, can pick up someone up sitting almost 7-10 feet away.
to you they do. I have gotten MORE people telling me it sounds better than worse this way so stop acting like your opinion is the end of whats good and not good.
The audio in your video is a little weird. But I like it.

not for audio.

If you're not going to show us anything on your computer you could always make the iSight footage a lot bigger.

put the mic louder and move it away... its like puff puff.... don't like how your isight clip is so small...

I have to agree with adobepc. even if you don't buy a compressor use software to compress the sound to add a bit more volume and clarity

A pop filter will help with the "P's"
blacksteel25 2 years ago
Omg.... i've commented on the state of your mic before... and although what you said is right, you need to do it for your videos too.
CarbonFiIms 2 years ago
I agree witht the pop filter but a limiter would be best. A compressor would help out also.
A limiter to stop over modulation and a compressor to make the volume sound more even.
A lapel mic might be better for emeek.
adobePC 2 years ago
Why would you say that CarbonFilms. I am not doing a video telling peope how to do audio professionaly am I?
Youtube is just for fun for me. I am not going to run through my audio board for youtube videos.

no, you need to be close. I just need a pop filter.
AppleSoldier 2 years ago
