This made me cry, I love you for doing this, I wish I had some where I could bring all the young calves to. It breaks my heart to see these babies, they do not understand what they have done to deserve this sort of treatment, please stop this dreadful treatment of these young calves. they deserve better in this cruel and horrible world.
@25Wojo ever heard of cognitive dissonance?This is what happens to the mass producers in slaughterhouses & especially milk farms because the animals are used as a tool, as a means for profit.
They are the modern day slaves.Your situation is very different to the mass producers
Smaller animal milk farms are sometimes not bad,it's the large producers.
Animals are the most beautiful innocent things on this earth, if only humans had half the innocence of animals the world would be a better place
@25Wojo what are the calves fed twice a day with in those bottles? and i'm pretty sure they would normally drink more than twice in a day ... and how long till they get weaned? when the mother's milk is the product the needs of their calves are primary do you? by the way, rice milk is great :-)
@akirrab00 Rice milk is nice but you have to buy the right brand, some rice milks are terrible...
I like sanitarium soy milk, so tasty.I also love oat milk.
If there's so many great tasting & similar tasting milk alternatives why the hell do people drink the milk from another species, not just that, but how can people actually drink the milk that is intended for a baby bobby calf? It's disgustingly inhumane & cruel just to buy a bottle of animal milk,but oddly enough hardly anyone is aware of t
@DavinaFaerie :-) i wear my usual straight face and ask people if they would like to drink some yummy nutritious dog milk, or perhaps some milk for kittens. obviously they kick up about this and make a big deal about these animals being our pets and what ever so then i ask about horse milk. deafening silence. you are so right about brands when it comes to alternative 'milk' options too. i've found the rice milk i like, from brown rice so its nutritious - lucky cos this vegan doesnt like soy!

they see drinking cats milk, dogs milk, even horse milk as gross (even though they all taste the same-even a womans breast milk) od, it's so gross,lol...
BUT they then see cows lactating milk for their young as "tasty"... It's mental, not to mention the 20% of puss & blood that is allowed to be in it by law, they conveniently name it "somatic cells"...

All animals have feelings and feel hurt and pain. How can humans who have feelings, feel pain and hurt, participate in dreadful practices against animals. And although all animals deserve respect and kindness, it seems even more horrific when babies are involved!! How utterly sad and heartbreaking.
I have seen bobby calves at saleyards too weak and young to stand., picked up by an ear and thrown into pens. I have seen some arrive dreadfully injured by transport in rickety trailers. All sold for slaughter. The treatment of these poor unwanted babies is a national disgrace and should be loudly condemned, not legalized!
omg I love this so much! It made me cry seeing those poor calves just waiting for slaughter... thanks for rescuing some! If only all of them could be saved :(
I would love to open my own farm sanctuary one day... but how do you even go about doing that? :(

the dairy industry is a disgrace;
- treats its animals like this
- uses up valuable land that could be better used otherwise
- causes breast cancer
= the govt is too scared to take it on or do research into a link between breast cancer and dairy consumption cos the industry is so powerful
