Why did he decide to change his accent? The guy is a good golfer, but i think the American style-put-on accent annoys some golf fans. The guy is Irish.
Reminds me of RTE's Brian O'Connell, he decided to change his accent to a posh English one, he's also Irish.
Mc Dowell's Anerican style golf-speak suggests delusions of grandeur.
@TheBBusher 8 years is nothing. Seriously, it's nothing. They say it's a sign of intelligence if you keep your accent long after moving away. My Dad still speaks with his proper accent after 40 years of not living there. That guy was only gone for 8? Hahahaha. He couldn't wait for a twang.
@b33p A sign of intelligence? Where are you getting these facts, by leaving that comment you are showing your own lack of intelligence. My daddy did this, my daddy did that, go 'way ya bollox.
@Nailersy Graeme's accent was developed when he was at college in America. He went into a subway sandwich bar one day with his broad Portrush accent and they couldn't understand him. He got stick about that and probably developed a bit of a complex, so Americanised his own accent a bit in order to get fed.
you can still hear his NI accent, jesus christ, most on here have never been up there, and he went to college in bama, i hear no southern twang
