Hi Tim can you tell me how to allow for a sloped yard when building a trellis? Yard slopes down - I need to calculate how to allow for the difference between the front and back legs Many thanks
Thanks very much and bless you for having to put up with all the heckling and harassing comments. Another in depth instructional on building a trellis would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
Thanks! What you're asking for is a one-hour DVD.... Seriously. It would take over an hour of video to show you each and every step in detail so all understand. Production cost for that: $12,000 in 2009 dollars.
Youch !!! OK...thats not going to happen. You did mention above that you plan to do another more detailed trellis video in the spring and I will look forward to it. Til then, shine on !!
I have to tell you that I am amazed at your attitude when you consider you get to watch these videos for free. It will be fascinating to see others weigh in on your comments.
See the above reply. As I said, the project was a rush job with available materials. Besides, it was for Ron Wilson's yard, not mine. Ron was my arch enemy in TV Land. :-)
Yes, the post-production department cut pretty much out of that one. Sorry about that! I will probably tape a new one in the spring that shows the trellis in much greater detail. Thnaks for viewing the video!

Use a long straight board and a level. The board is as long as the trellis legs are apart.

Ron was always fun to work with. As you can tell, I was the butt of all his jokes. Well worth it!

Buy lattive/trellis from your local timberyard and they can frame it for you. fibre cement lattice is way easyer to paint then timber. trust me!!!!!

I agree. I think you missed the point of the segment. The project had to be done *quickly* with available materials. :-)

Tim it went so fast, plus I didn't see the final product long enough - this one was difficult to follow.
