I think choosing the right color on jigs is somewhat important but I bet I could wear em out on a pink jig with a lime green trailer on most places I fish. I use black/blue at a ratio or about 5:1 versus other colors and I do great with black/blue in water with 10'+ visibility... I think its kind of important but a little over rated how they try to analyze this stuff to precision. The most important thing to me is using 15-17lb flourocarbon and a 7'-7'6" Heavy rod and a THICK wire on the jig.
