I absolutely agree with what Patrick said. As usual the talking heads from CNBC gush about the wonderful strength and resilience of the economy and the market. It is so unbelievable that the people on CNBC just can't seem to grasp that when you flood an economy with cheap and easy credit, money will be spent and the economy will look strong. But the reality is, it has nothing to do with any sort of strength and everything to do with a nation absolutely going under in debt.
US soon will launch stronger censorship. Republic of America!!!!

Yeah, those of us who get our news on-line have known about the coming crash for years. The old-media is a bad place to get info especially advice on finances.
The talking heads got miffed at the doomsday prophecies because they feel the Western Economy is THEIR economy. To put it lightly, it offends their sense of patriotism and racial chauvanism.
The male host is trying to spin away from what Byrne said by saying something completely ridiculous. something about billions of building being built? Byrne was having none of it.
Maria and Dillon would be arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic if the captain told them that the ship couldn't sink even though water was coming over the bow.
Puppet heads believing that the market is "self evident" and that government intervention is irrelevant
It's funny that the interviewers get defensive when he spoke about a 1929-style collapse.
The harsh realities that we face now and will face in the future aren't as bothersome to me as the loud echoing of "EVERYTHING'S FINE!" and the seemingly complete ignorance of a large portion of our population.
It's like we've been seated at the kids table and don't get to hear what the 'grown ups' are discussing.
I wonder why 3 of my new neighbors in the Madisonville Ky area would all be bigshots from NYC banking/investment firms and all just happen to be installing 5x redundant independent HVAC,solar/PV,potable water and private natural gas systems?
we'll probably have a flood of similar people. they've been building restaurants in madisonville and nothing much else for years for exactly this situation.
It's funny how disgusted the woman looks when this guys tells the truth. It's as though he had laid down a huge burp during the interview. Instead he just told the truth. Hey, who ever said the economic talking heads like hearing the truth.
Bush was/is the big business president. Remember Enron? He made it clear as soon as he took office that he was going to ease regulation, especially on the financial industry, and now we see the results. Banks were engaged in EXACTLY the same lending practices in the 1920s and we see where that went.
