Well, the Giants won the World Series, but I have to give it to the Rangers. They put up a hell of a season and really played their hearts out. I couldn't be more proud of them and I know Washington and Nolan Ryan feel the same way. I will always be a Rangers fan, and I know their fans at Arlington were proud of them, despite their loss. All I can say is better luck next year.

I am a Fort Worth guy who loves the Rangers. I think it is funny how in North Texas all the Cowboys fans are rooting for the Rangers now that the Cowboys stink. BTW, I think the 5th inning in Game 6 is a moment I will always cherish. Vlad's double followed by Cruz's homer... and our Rangers are World series bound.

I think in 1989 he actually played his first season with the Rangers, and I followed the team from Germany... SInce then, I have lived in Viginia, Puerto Rico, and Texas. I remember the Nolan Ryan years, the elation of 1996 and the dissappointments that followed thereafter. Now, the magic is back in Arlington simply because.... IT'S TIME!!!!

Rangers played a good series, and as a Yankee fan there's nothing I can do but congratulate Nolan Ryan, The Texas Rangers, and all their fans for winning the ALCS and making it to their first ever world series. I enjoyed watching Miami heat win their first NBA title, I enjoyed watching the Saints win their first NFL superbowl, so I will enjoy watching Rangers win their first MLB world series. What you saw today, the Rangers of last year never really had. Never really had a 1 to 2 pitching ace in Lee and in Wilson. Never really had a closer like in Feliz. Never really in my life have I seen this team play short ball meaning getting runs off of singles, doubles, etc. Example last year 80% of their came off of home runs. Like any team who used to be mediocre wants they start winning its a new experience. I'm enjoying every second of it.

35 years I've been alive. I went to my first Ranger game when I was 8 and the Indians beat the Rangers 12-1. Been watching loosing teams since then until now. It's time!!!

Hey CowboysTD, I've been a Rangers fan for a while and when rangers last went to the playoffs in 1996 I was only 3 years old. I really don't remember when I started liking Rangers or baseball in general, but does that make me a bandwagoner, cuz obviously people don't understand that. Also what would you say to the people who keep saying "Ranger fans are fake, they only like them cuz they started winning" or what not? Please give me an answer. Thanks

@GunGemini There are only 2 basketball teams for born and raised Texans and they are the Rockets and the Mavs. Likewise, only 2 football teams, Texans and Cowboys (Maybe a few Titans fans). That is the way it should be! So when we see these Texans celebrating when Boston, Lakers, or the Yankees win the NBA championship or world series, it is just ARTIFICIAL! This makes the Rangers win yesterday even more pleasing. Hopefully these "Texans" will be kicking themselves for their lack of loyalty!

What you saw today, the Rangers of last year never really had. Never really had a 1 to 2 pitching ace in Lee and in Wilson. Never really had a closer like in Feliz. Never really in my life have I seen this team play short ball meaning getting runs off of singles, doubles, etc. Example last year 80% of their came off of home runs. Like any team who used to be mediocre wants they start winning its a new experience. I'm enjoying every second of it.

lol you can be a real fan of any team if you have tides over there. Whether its Yankees, Red Sox, or Rangers. If your from there or have family there and been rooting for them your whole life. Theres Real Rangers fans in New York just as theres real Yankee fans in Texas. But yea, theres lotta bandwagoners all over the place :/ ... But Congrats CowboyTD. You guys earned it.

The Yankees are the embodiment of everything I hate about baseball. The best all star team money can buy, a daunting monument to the lack of parity.
But man, the Rangers handled them, didn't they? They kicked their asses up and down the place. It was only vaguely competitive.
I'm a football guy - I watched maybe 30 or so Ranger games in the season, but the playoffs are when I really start watching baseball. But the die hards, like yourself, hats off to you guys. That series was for you.

@greedybox I don't recall asking for your prediction, old man. But thanks. I was glad to see the evil empire crumble, the Rangers absolutely handled them. Losing the World Series in four games? I'd say you're speaking out of hurt. The Rangers just crushed the best team in baseball. One with four times their payroll. It was men vs. boys out there, the series wasn't even remotely competitive. I'm not saying they'll win, but they've shown that they can hang competitively with anyone.

you are exactly right when you say we are sick of hearing from NYY and BOS fans. i am a rays fan from the beginning and they are some of the worst, most obnoxious people on earth. and they just need to be quiet. i am very happy for the rangers, they deserve this. they beat the rays and the yankees fair and square. yankee and sox fans, go away.

Wow. Rangers won. Atleast SOMEONE in the Dallas area is winning. Looks like the Rangers could give the Cowboys some lessons in Discipline and give a "how-to get your heads out of your asses" speech to maybe light a fire in their asses. In all honesty TD and to all real Rangers fans, congrats. I'm cheering for former A's coach Ron Washington in a way, I was so sad when he left us initially. It is a short one or two year window for this team. Enjoy this, because baseball is always so one-sided with monopolies.
