  • groung probly has to be real smooth

  • Back in 1984 we made one of these to move a servo writer from engineering to the clean room. It was a wooden pedestal about 6 x 3 feet & 4 inches tall. It was air tight and at the corners were rubber disks with holes in their centers--much like what you see in the vid at 0:19. An air hose pressurized the pedestal and air came out the holes in the disks, the rubber acted as a seal against the floor, and the whole thing rose up maybe 1/8 inch.

Gotta have a good flat floor to make this work.

  • i guess ill have to get two compressors one for the "hover creeper" and one for my airtools

  • yeah you could put wheels, but you ever had a tool in the way of the wheel? have you ever had a wheel run over your hand. great idea! lose the hose, and i will by one!

  • nobody here mentioned wheels xD (joke) :P

  • just use wheels. duh

  • hhahaahahha that guy doesnt fit under the car!!!!

  • or you could use wheels...

  • I wonder if the person that made this had ever heard of wheels?

  • cool

  • I love it, anyone who actually gets under cars would love it to, except you wouldn't have air for tools.

  • GIMMICK

  • now make the hover creeper actually...oh, i dont know... HOVER?

  • it hovers above ground like the hovercraft ships, thats what HOVER means in the real world, starwars type of hovering...thingies are still science fiction(but that thing does hover a cantimeter,by my guess, off the floor)

  • I have two questions:

    1. Does it have to stay plugged in all the time? and 2. can i buy one anywhere?

  • whats wrong with wheels

  • its called wheels

  • or you can use wheels :)

  • Lets make it into a board so we can ride it and race it. Back to the future anyone?

  • just like a air powered rollercoaster...only less exciting...

  • were u get it and would it still support if i were to fully stand on it and just so happen to woork as an other version of a hoverboard. and what is the price. please message me back.

  • no you have to freaking power it by some cable.

  • It wuld be fun to race those

  • hahaha i like the way u think

  • screw using it for macanical uses i would go mboarding on it

  • If your shop floor was dusty, well, the whole shop is going to be coated in a film of it, once you run this around.

  • note they fail to mention you need to own a air compressor for this product to work.

  • that would be fun to do on in the air

  • where can i buy one of these?

  • SO ENGENIOUS

  • now make it into a hoverboard :D

  • THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

  • I'm in no way involved in mechanical work or anything like that, but I imagine this would be quite convenient. It looks like it could move in any direction smoothly and as the video mentions you can plug air tools into it directly. Very nice.

  • its a great device but the drawbacks are:

1)the air tools and the cables(without them connected into it i bet its just an old serfing board)

2)fact that u have to have an air compressor and run it everytime u want to get greezy with the car

if they will design and build an in build air compressor and power source it could be the next thing in creeper technology, but without that fix its more of an expancive toy
