  • Respect.... !

My Brothers in Arms... farewell !

  • I love this song, the story behind how it was wrote is great. Look it up if your interested really gives you respect to the many people who died in the wars.

  • Respects for any man that fell for his country. German, British, Russian, French, Dutch and American. Even if Hitler's action were horrid, not all of the German forces were the same. Some were just people, fighting to survive. Men, women, and children alike died fighting on all sides. It just goes to prove that there is no winning in war.

  • Sorry to know that us Americans were fooled into fighting the Germans because of the Jewish circle.

  • Where can I find this track? I really want this song in this form.

  • to any one of you nazi loyalists, my family not only is related to the russian soldier that helped raise the flag in the german riche building on one side, the other is a long line of polish jews, so shut up you lost, and you will never gain power again

  • @itsthemeanestoftimes stfu you never would have won without the united states....we won that war for you and others.....so dont think you're badass when you clearly aren't, without us, germany would have wiped the floor with russia

  • @oldgregg244 without japan united states wouldn't of joined the war :D, so show respect, and your wrong saying united states won the war when every country that was on the allied side was part of the war

  • @oldgregg244 and if russia hadnt opend the german eastern front the US would never have made france, the war was not won by the US, it was won by the combined effort of the allied forces, and if any part of the allies deserves the most credit its the brits, who not only fought in both theaters of war but held there ground and didnt fall to the axis

  • @itsthemeanestoftimes You're wrong, it was obviously the French who won the war LMAO

  • @MurphDog2007 the french welcomed hitler lmao. i hope u mean that sarcastic else your either french and stupid. but hey the french r populair of their stupidness

  • rumple respect from denmark to your father

  • the crazy thing is, one of my grandfathers was on one of those boats, the other was in one of those bunkers. the british one made it to düsseldorf, the german one was captured in berlin. after the war they became best friends. but we, who never met on the batlefield as enemys, tend to hate one another. how sad and low have we become, i take those old men as my guide. shit happens and its all FUBAR

  • its terrible how government solve problems, i have an idea, why dont we make the leaders fight in the war?

    A Proud US Navy Veteran!

    *****

  • ya because they kill more than the germans did

  • Land, Air, Sea. All men who gave their lives to serve their country should be respected till the end. All wars are remembered. All men are respected.

  • this makes me cry my granfather and his 8 brothers was in that battel and that were in meny fights and battels thay all surved in four wars ww1 ww2 vetnam coreya thay saw men get blown apart thay saw men burnd alive thay saw men killed in ways that you cant dream about there frainds and buddys were killed and those men gave there live for us one time i asked my grandfather what the wars were like and he looked down and started to cry

  • hell he mustve been old when he fought in korea!

  • yea my grandfather was like 15 wene he joind my famly said he was a very tall men his brothers were older so thay joind at like 17 18 so yea he was a good men hell i was like two years old and i saw him get in a bar fight with these two twenty yaer old guys and he kicked there asses hell and he was like 70 80 yaers old but the one thing you did not do in his house was to talk about war he hated it dont know wy thou

  • War is the last thing most veterans want to hear about. For us who have never experienced it, we can never imagine the fear, pain, and hardship of war, especially with wars like WWII. The few veterans that I know who talk about their war experience are those who served in the air force or navy. I only knew one who served in the front lines and talked about it, and even then he would usually be crying while telling about it. All one of my friend's grandparents would say was "It was hell."

  • just out of curiousity. if your grandfather and his 8 brothers fought in wwi wwii korea and vietnam, they 'd all have to be born in 1890ish. so by the time korea came, they'd be around 70. I don't think that's what actually happened.

  • They could've been officers who didn't see combat.

  • Many people think that the battle of Utah and Omaha beach were some of the worst casualties faced in world war 2 and that the men here deserve the most respect from all of the battles of world war two. Dont get me wrong they deserve alot of respect but how about the marines in the battle of tarawa who had to trek 500 yards through muck and mire in the face of enemy machine guns and mortars. You never hear about them. Its a sad fact that Americans forget their history so easily. Love all not some

  • agreed. also many people forget about other services, like the submarine force. they actually had the highest casualty rate of any military force (roughly 22% of submariners died)

  • but werent there fewer submariners than infantry men? resulting in a bigger percentage? Im just wondering one man is enough to respect all.

  • research the futre mini series "The Pacific" its porduced by Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielburg... it has a buget of over $250,000,000. I think this will help can't your point

  • there are many unsong heros

  • you are also forgeting the sacrifices the whole of the allies made, not just you americans, the soviets had over 3million men die

  • that may be true but the russian tactic was to use numbers, brute force, human wave, they didnt care what the human cost was. they just coldly wanted to kill any and all germans.

  • that may be, but roughly half of the Soviets killed were killed by there own people.

    yay commissars?

  • no. there were no commisars in combat rolls, and less than half of the retreating men captured by the NKVD were executed.

  • less than half...

... thats still alot of people :D

  • crap, now i have to go look up the statistic...i can't find it yet, can you wait a day or 2 while i look it up. but i do know that the NKVD and KGB killed a good 22M russians in the stalin era, compared to the 9M killed in the holocaust. and the 7M russia lost to the germans in the war.

  • stalingrad was far worse

  • stalingrad was far worse. but they was over a period of time. This was one day. If we replayed this day over and over until it was the amount of days stalingrad lasted, then D-Day would have had a landslide on the largest casualties

  • true

  • I do see what he means though because the lyrics do say germans gun through out the lyrics a couple times. So it fits more so to WW1 and WW2 movies. However it does fit in We Were Soldiers and that is obviously a vietnam movie. Doesn't really matter i guess.

  • The Scottish way of spelling it K isn't capitalized.

  • not all , only when the enemy r germans ( look at the lyrics )

  • I'd also just like to set it straight: No country would ever use Nuclear Weapons, and they are useless, which is why we shouldn't have them. Future wars will never be as bad as this. We now have camouflage, better protective equipment like body armour, better tactics. We no longer believe that if you throw enough troops at a beach you will take it. Those German defences wouldn't exist by the time troops got ashore. We wouldn't eb flooding out of Landing Craft to Machine Gun fire.

  • Whisch i find somewhat a shame, yes war is horable...but WWII was the last great war. :/

  • Yeah your troops would have a hard time (like any nations troops) reaching a modern country's shores.

  • Next war will end the rule of man, we will kill each other, no asteroids, no virus, just humans will be our virus, cry together, die together, die from the person standing next to you. Its probaly going to be a nuke war which will blow the world to shit and everyone on it, theres nukes now that can crack the world in half, so doesnt that scare the shit out of you?

  • I know you are getting thumbsdown for your comment but i know your right.

What you said will most probably happen

  • I am sorry but this is just a fraction of the wars to come.

Future wars will be much worst than this, many people ,no matter where they are, will be killed almost immediatly!

  • Sadly, even though, some people do not class it as a world war, it is happening again. In many countries, and in my own, over 200 killed now in our own war, right or wrong, the lives are still lost. xx

  • More peopel die in the construction industry (are there a roughly as many builders as soldiers)

Oh No! Building stuff is terrible!

  • it is terrible if builders lives are lost, and it was avoidable ??? I'm sorry but your point seems lost on me. Soldiers sign a contract to serve Queen and Country...wether or not they believe the battle just....where is the comparison ??? And this was a comment I posted regarding this song and the fruitality of war ???

  • let us pray!!!

    that will never happen again!!!

  • It won't

next world war will be a coupl of bangs, don't panic your fucked

  • WE WILL ALL COME HOME TOGETHER.......

  • the war wuld of went on longer if hitler didnt invade russia

  • that be right, ignorant americans thinking THEY won the war alone

  • Everyone thinks their country won the war alone.

  • I Don't. I'm from the UK. We helped win the war by holding our ground and winning the Battle Of Britain. Russia Helped greatly for halting the German War Machine and pushing it back. the USA, Canada, UK, and France helped by opening up a third front (don't forget Africa) and dividing Hitler's forces. Also we couldn't have done it without the Colloquial forces.

  • The British holding in the Battle of Britain turned the tide of the war imo, that and the Russians persistence at not giving Stalingrad up. Though, looking from the other side, most likely the Axis powers would have won the war, Hitlers plan was to crush Russia in between the armies of his own and Japan's, but Japan had other plans and attacked the U.S. if it had not have been for that, the outcome would have changed dramatically.

  • 98RamMagnum. Thanks for you comment. Also as I recall, Kuangtung Imperial Japanese in Manchuria lost aginst the Russians in one of the most impt, least known battles in ww2. Battle of Golgin Ghol. If the IJA had won, whole SE section of Far East Russia would of been wide open. IJA would of easily moved up north and Germans from west would of annihilated the Red Armies completely. The out come would of been disastrous for Europe; a whole different outlook.

  • Colloquial forces? Isn't that something about regional dialects?

  • sooner or later russia or america will start of another war, everyone knows it.

  • Doubt it, if anyone starts another big war, it'll be some shit little country, like Georgia for instance.

  • it will never happen.

  • this song should be for allt he people who died in any war

  • y the fukk is it savin pvt.Ryan yet it sez we were soliders

  • I prefere Primo Victoria- Sabaton on this "movie"

  • THROUGH THE GATES OF HELL, AS WE MAKE OUR WAY TO HEAVEN THROUGH THE NAZI LINES!!!! PRIMO VICTORIA!! kick ass song, with a kick ass band, with a kick ass movie

  • Well, all that facts are sad enough...

  • your probly right i honestly dont no thats just what i thought its probly less

  • on the day of the normady landing many historian and archeologies found out that on omaha beach one german machinegun position kill approx. 4000-5000 soldiers befor being over run and surrendering that scary FACTS

  • 50 million died, 29 million soldiers and the rest is civiliens

  • GaiaRuler there is such lanuage as scottish most scottish people speak english same as the irish most of us speak english not irish

  • Doesn't matter how many... it was just the fact that a lot of people died and that war was very tragic and sad.

  • Sorry, not billion, that would be a bit to much. xD I mean million.

  • Ca. 55 to 60 billion, sorry.

  • Ca. 55 bis 60 Million (Billion I think is correct, 55,000,000 - 60,000,000) people died due the whole WW2. Sad number, I watched in Google.

  • the total loss of the hole war was 10,000

  • WW2, no way man. Lots of more people died in WW2 I heard it was 60-90,000 people.

  • more like 50,000,000 it was 10,000 soldiers just on d-day

  • 75,000 on d- day actually

  • 10,000 just on the first day i meant

  • are you an idiot?

  • lead, powder, fire. waiting for my time one day will come. when that day comes i will take it with honor and apologies to those i leave behind that i cant take with me where i go to Valhalla.

  • Scottish is an English Accent. ^^ Like Bavarian and Austrian, are German accents.

  • it was a shame for all the yanks who died technically there should of been no where near that much

  • Hoo rah ; to all the yanks out there.

  • There is no language called Scottish...its an accent of English...dumbass

  • yea, its called gallec (Sorry IDK how to spell it)

  • Everyone should watch Saving Private Ryan, because it's one of the best movies I've seen.

  • War..

    War never changes..

Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing path with rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything, from God, to justice, to simple psychotic rage.

Its from Fallout. But I think its soo true, there will always be war. No matter how hard we try. This is brobably all for me. Bye... Just love this song.

  • omaha beach was a death trap for many american soldiers respects to the falling

  • Btw, Band of Brothers is far mor realistic and better movie than Saving Private Ryan

    "Dont forget the Airborne"

  • although Saving Private Ryans' cast us far better quality :)

  • No it's Scottish, he is not singing in English, Stupid. I'm not shure but I'll red this all over internet , and I'll rater stick to internet then you. Btw D-Day was the largest invation beqaus(dont know how it spells) it was an amphibous and airborne invation and other stuff like the preparations. Like spesial Sherman thanks that could swim(12 of 14 sank at Omaha). Okinawa was the largest amphibous assault. And Market Garden"Hells Highway" was the largest airborne operation.

  • It's English but with a heavy Scottish accent. There's no such language as "Scottish".

  • on the contrary, it's a regional dialect, a language in it's own right.

  • There is no such thing as Scottish Dumbass, Its an accent. it IS English, just with a strong accent.

  • great vid, but yer discription is stupid, its an accent , the words you used are way off what has saying, "monie mair huv gaun"? you can tell its really "many men have gone"

  • A really good song. I believe that he who created it lost his brother in the Great War, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Saving Private Ryan is one of the most realistic and true war movies ever created, even though some things were changed to match the script.

I wonder how many americans, british and canadians that drowned and still waits to be found outisde the beaches of Normandie. Or did the managed to find them all and give them proper burials after the war?

  • Alot of soldiers wer missing, but manny dident drown acaly, thanks to the american cost gard that picked up manny soldiers from the water. Some airborne troops were also dropt to eraly or too late and fell in the sea.(felds were also flooded so there were also paratropers hwo drowned far inland of the beaches

  • roughly 5000+ soldiers were put in unmarked graves after D-day
