@da1stegr In stage 9-1, smash as many crates as you can get to until you find an artifact. After beating the level, head to April's shop and you should now have the machine. It should be unlocked on the title screen once you look at it. Hope that works ok.
warning: Although the game plays just like in the arcade, the music was F***ED UP. There are 3, maybe 4 soundtracks in the ENTIRE game. One for intro(maybe), one for epilogue, one for running through the stages, and one for ALL bosses. WTF!

To be honest I'm still completely new to the whole XBLA service and most of the stuff concerning the Xbox, so pardon My total n00bish questions but first off is there a way a second player can play with a second controller at home with player one the classic way since the old days of gaming or is multiplayer completely restricted to online co-op? Also if it's not then can more than two people play? Another thing I'm wondering is if there is a way to set lives on the *2bcont*
*Continued* a way to set lives on the game on the online multiplayer co-op mode, because well 20 lives may be enough for others but I suck at this game, I mean I really REALLY SUCK! I can't make it past the first stage without losing two three maybe even four lives, it's a wonder I made it to the Technodrome on My last online co-op so is there a to give yourself more lives or at the very least be able to join in the game again after you've lost all your lives in online co-op?
o lol I still remind this doing on the NES, we had tactics for almost anything in the game, like at the rhino, the jump-kick technique for avoiding hits. And the whipping robots keeping stuck at the wall. Andd further more use the a+b buttons only because those OHKO'd anything x') good times.. good times.. but back there it was only for two players.. :x

Also another favorite Arcade beat em' up of mine that I grew up playing (and My personal favorite Arcade game) is The Simpsons Arcade game by Konami which I would really love to see on XBLA instead of that dumb iPhone game that goes around carrying the same name *2bcont.*

It's an exact copy of the original TMNT2 with more enemies, better graphics and multiple players. The only difference is that you appear to have 19 lives each. The original game only gives 3 (although it also gives three continues).
4:26 - I find it funny that an enemy killed one of his own. 4:55 - I assume that you were playing as Leo.
I'm not sure about that. There are two levels missing from the version for Live.
* Stage 3A - They left out the one with snow, the homing missile launching snowman robots, and the boss who throws giant rocks at the turtle.
* Stage 6 - They also left out the one with the really annoying shadow cheetah (as I like to call it), a spiked floor column, and the boss with the flying head.
I forgot to mention the disadvantage with the pizza in Live (a player can't share it).
Good point, the extra levels were a nice addition. But, they didn't differenciate (sp?) between the turtles enough like all the turtles had the same attack range and power, unlike in the arcade version. And the NES version didn't have any real voices like "cowabunga" or boss lines, although I do remember hearing a faint scream in the first level. I guess TMNT 2 isn't that bad. I still like the arcade version and TMNT 3 better.Long live Manhattan Project!
Now if they would have only updated it and added the NES goodies in there (the two NES exclusive levels and NES exclusive enemies and bosses) and or even made a three on one fight (Rocksteady, Bebop, and the fly form of Baxter Stockman with even more attacks, kind of like his TMNT 2 Arcade/TMNT 4 SNES incarnation), and added one more stage and boss to this game, then it would have been the uber port of this game. Sadly, it is just a standard run of the mill arcade port.
I feel sorry for kids now days.... they never got to experience great cartoons as these as we did back then. 80's cartoons were great and they will never be forgotten.....

This would be 2 I guess. It was ported to the NES as TMNT 2: The Arcade Game.
TMNT 1 for the NES is a totally different game, it's a platformer, a really hard one.

I sooo had to buy this. I remember playing 'Turles in time" on the SNES wich was similar to this. It's a blast.

Now if they would have only updated it and added the NES goodies in there (the two NES exclusive levels and NES exclusive enemies and bosses) and or even made a three on one fight (Rocksteady, Bebop, and the fly form of Baxter Stockman with even more attacks, kind of like his TMNT 2 Arcade/TMNT 4 SNES incarnation), and added one more stage and boss to this game, then it would have been the uber port of this game. Sadly, it is just a standard run of the mill arcade port.

I feel sorry for kids now days.... they never got to experience great cartoons as these as we did back then. 80's cartoons were great and they will never be forgotten.....

I got an idea on how to "improve" the voice chat's volume.
Don't use the game's voice chat feature, but use XBox Live Party. The audio and volume is a lot better than the in-game voice chat.

I saw this game for the first time at the movie theater back in 1989. My friends and I were going to see The Wizard with Fred Savage ;-) and I saw this game. I remember not caring a whit about the movie. I just wanted to get out and play this! Great video and commentary.

"That would be an awesome achievement to have them kill each other." Actually, Bebop and Rocksteady do kill each other in the SNES version of Turtles in Time. All you need to do is focus on one, and the one you take out will get in a fight with the other and both die.
