It's important that people understand how the depletion of marine animals and the harm caused on the oceans affect us as human beings. Most importantly, the ocean provides us with food and O2, and if people aren't informing others, we will all eventually die & our species will cease of existence.

sammyboi - it is exactly the opposite of what you claim. The only people peddling certainty are politicians and journalists. the scientific journals and conferences are hot with debate by contrast.

On the contrary to what you claim, we have not the faintest idea of what changes are needed, or what effect our actions will have. For example biofuels have contributed to world starvation rather than CO2 reduction. CO2 emissions have risen in the EU and fallen in the US! Duh!

we have the technology to reduce c02 or be carbon neutral, we just arent using it enough. yes biofuel is a mistake but we are humans and we make mistakes but not all biofuels create world hunger and pollution during production.

changes needed are going carbon neutral or close to it and preperation forthe major effects of cc, sure we are in the dark a little but we know the some major changes that are needed

1. Why not use the same tactic the US uses on those countries that don't agree with it? They should include sanctions on any coutry that doesn't agree to reducing green house gases. It could be as simple as an extra tarrif on every flight, ship, vehice coming from that country into one that is in compliance.
