  • It's a great product but expensive

  • how much does it cost?

  • @thetikilover22 Under every video in YouTube is the link to the product page on our website where we sell it. We do not post prices on YouTube.

  • I am a customer of big apple pet supply have been for years. But really a redfoot? Maybe for the first few years of its life. but lets face facts anyone who knows the slightest thing about redfoots can point out plenty of reasons this would not work. now Russians or Box turtles egads this would be paradise. But lets be realistic when it comes to Red foots unless you can connect four of these together side by side as well as long ways ;)

  • @4quall Agreed, this could work for Red Foot Tortoises up until they are about 5 to 6 inches but then it would be time to move them into something else. This is perfect for small species tortoises including Hermanns, Star, Russians, Greek and Box Turtles.

  • what about for turtles

  • Would this work for Box turtles?

  • @AquaticFishKeeper Absolutely, would be fine as long as you add large water area bowl.

  • what are the demensions of the hide?

  • @CYANKS9 It's on our website where we sell the product... just click the link below the video.

  • @CYANKS9 About 12 inches wide on the hide.

  • It is so expensive

  • @MsSchool132 $99 is expensive? We ship the same day ordered to anywhere in the U.S. & Canada.

  • I love the fact that you can connect two of those. I wish I could buy some, but plastic storage bins are a lot more accessible.

  • @TheBoaConstrictor95 Storage bins are nothing like these though and we ship these all over the country.

  • @BigApplePetSupply But I feel like I'm more flexible to try different things with storage bins. They are much taller. Are these even water-proof?

Well unfortunately, I don't live in America. I live in Saudi Arabia, so personally, bins are waaay more accessible.

  • @BigApplePetSupply Can it keep a full grown tortoise for life if it only grows up to 8 inches? What about if it grows up to 10 inches?

  • @1992lance I would say about 7.5 inches max since the hide hole is 8 inches wide. You could probably cut it larger if you needed but 7 inches is the largest unless you combine two of these units together which it is made to do.

  • @BigApplePetSupply I was asking if that enclosure could hold an 8 inch Russian tortoise as a life long habitat.

  • Would this be big enough for 2 russian tortoises?

  • @peninsulamike If you are setting up for two tortoises call us when you are ready and we'll set you up correctly to handle that.

  • @BigApplePetSupply how do u clean it cause i have a 50 gallon storage container and its plastic so its easy to wash it out when i need to, but what about wood?

  • Plan on getting this one for mine. I love the fact you can get a second one and combine with ease, just in case he needs a bit more room.

  • That's the kind I wanna get

  • thumbs up if you think this guy says he loves all the products he shows ?

  • HI IM BARRY SCOTT lol

  • Hey,

I'm getting a russian tortoise soon. But I do not know where to find lamp holders? I'm from the uk but dont know where to find these things which holds the bulbs? :3

Links from shops or shops would be greatful!, Thanks :(((

  • I think i'm going to buy this when I get a chance for a tortoise but I wish one side was like clear so I can see the tortoise from a side view

  • 1:54 michael jackson

  • honestly, i would never put my tortoise in one of these. is the wood treated? hopefully there's no chemicals in it. And at least one side needs to be plexiglass, or some other clear material. Reptiles in general, and tortoises especially, do not do well in small, fully-enclosed terrariums.

  • @sensinarie We respectfully disagree and the wood is not treated with chemicals - we are talking about a Zoo Med product. We also would be curious as to what reference or study you might be citing that concludes that tortoises need something out of clear material. We have many customers that have had great success in these enclosures although most do take them out on a daily basis to interact with them.

  • @sensinarie Tortoises will stress out with clear sides, they will constantly try to walk through them.

  • @PsychoBillyNiki that's why mine has her own bedroom :)

  • Wow thats pretty cheap compared to the prices you have on a lot of other things,i bet the shipping is like $200 though, nice vid,i subbed to you guys.

  • @PythonMania364 Thank you for commenting on the video but please note our prices in general are 30% or more off average pet store costs. We also have over 600 Exclusive items you cannot get anywhere else.

Lastly, you indicated shipping might be like $200 on this item, average cost to ship to a location on the east coast is $12 to $20 so we are unsure how you achieved a $200 freight estimate.
