I agree that Fox is dishonest in their treatment of the Liu video and essentially everything else. However, what Liu is saying is still silly. Slavery hurt everyone and benefited no one. Those who "benefited" from slavery would have prospered far more with a free labor market. Slavery was about pure cruelty, not economic advantage. Of course it hurt some far more than others, but nobody that was hurt is alive today. We should never forget, but we should stop whining about it.

I agree that Fox is dishonest in their treatment of the Liu video and essentially everything else. However, what Liu is saying is still silly. Slavery hurt everyone and benefited no one. Those who "benefited" from slavery would have prospered far more with a free labor market. Slavery was about pure cruelty, not economic advantage. Of course it hurt some far more than others, but nobody that was hurt is alive today. We should never forget, but we should stop whining about it.

You know what, I think I will send this to O'reilly. This really pissed me off. I'm sick and tired of these clowns picking apart every little thing Obama says or does, taking it out of context or outright lying about it to make him look worse. Some of this stuff is just petty and sickening. Obama isn't the miracle-worker everyone was hoping for, but dammit, he's trying. Has anyone else noticed that all the female fox news reporters are nearly all young, long haired blondes? Just a theory, but since fox news viewers are considerably less progressive, more "old school", would it be fair assertion that the anchors are selected for their Aryan qualities to appease the viewers notions of what a woman should look like? For example, their regular anchors have these qualities vs. the more progressive, more modern and less "barbie", qualities of Rachel Maddow (MSNBC)

O'Reilly is NOT a news show!! It is a political opinion show. What you are seeing is O'Reilly's take on things. He and Olberman could sit back to back and you wouldn't be able to tell who is lying the most! Surely you don't think people form opinions by listening to people like Beck, Olberman, Mathews, Hannity, Shultz (now that guy is nuts!) Maddow and the rest of the political hacks! The news is the news, you have seperate it from the political shows.NEWS shows are mostly the same no matter.
