  • By an Axe Fx dude. Sounds way better, and 100 times more versatile.I owned a roadster, it is gone now.

  • @rastadarrin if you want real tone, get real tubes. Emulation is for schmoes!

  • @rastadarrin

Yeah right, I had an Axe-Fx Ultra, and can tell you one thing for sure after owning, #1, a 79 Marshall JMP Mark 11, and Mesa single Rectifier, a mark V, many fender 2x12 amps, vox, you name it buddy, the Axe-Fx is awesome for studio, no question, but DOES NOT CUT IT as a live rig for stage. Does not compare to real tube BIG, FAT< Punchy sound. Not even for a second. Its effects are wicked awesome, its amp sims, not even close for live application. It emulates studio sound only.

  • play that first tune 4 times faster and youl have it ;)

  • Did you get the Chrome plating special order or did it come std on your Mesa head. I've only seen them Black in 2010-2011

  • @hawg427 that is a black plate but the light reflection makes it look chrome.

  • very scary monkey :D

    great sound

  • strange deja vu kicks ass! :D

  • WHY ARE U PUNISHING YOUR MONKEY SO BAD ?????????

  • another 3000 dollar amp that sounds like an AM radio...hasnt anyone heard of a mic?

  • @Rizzy55 Those of us with 3000 dollar amps can't afford mics after we buy the amp XD

  • @Rizzy55 My biggest complaint about gear vids on youtube. precisely why I created my channel.

  • Mesa Rectifier doesn't sound good until you put an EQ in the effects loop.

These things need a built in 7 band EQ.

  • I really think this is the best amp ever but...you really messed up the tone dude..

  • the most metal amp ever

  • @MetalMan1023

Rectifier is good. But check out the Diezel Herbert. I believe the Herbert is a better metal amp than the Rectifier.

But dollar for dollar, Mesa amps are the best in the world.

  • @eatthemoon13 the roadster is just a smoother warmer dual rec.

  • @eatthemoon13 the appropriate question should have been, "Which amp can i disguise my shitty playing with more?"

  • @yitboy11 Your a dumb fuck! I play Blues/jazz/old rock/folk/bluegrass/ragtime/etc.. I was not asking for myself i play with some guys who needed a guitar player because its fun to play different styles.. I have played since i was 8 years old i dont need to cover up my playing. Where are your videos?? oh master of tone?

  • @eatthemoon13 1) thank you for the nice comment (master of tone) :) 2) there is no need for profanity 3) I'm sure you're a great player but i didn't need a biography 4) I simply making a generalization of most high gain seekers, not to bash you 5) I would love to post videos but all my cash is tied up in guitar gear, and unfortunately don't have the funds to buy video recording software to produce a quality video 6) be more upset over a youtube comment, makes you look real good

  • @eatthemoon13 Thanks gramps for the advice, but you must be real immature for your age letting such a "youngin" like me get under your skin so badly. I woulda thought your parents would have brought you up better and the years "behind your belt" would have made you a bigger man. Guess not, and now you judge my playing without so much hearing a single note... being a bit hypocritical aren't we? Huff and Puff some more it's just comical now

  • there is no, high gain, or even balls. it sounds like a peavey practice amp. not a good representation at all

  • i dont think this is a metal amp?

  • Donkey Kong is a good guitar player, and he's got good taste...He uses Mesa!!!

  • <3 scenes from memory!

  • Split Your Lungs With Blood And Thunder! When You Wee The WHITE WHALE!!!!!

  • WHITE WHALE! HOLY GRAIL!

  • I like this amp.....and stuffed primates

  • eh i didnt really like this one too much, not enought, meat, you could say in it. no chug in there

  • blame it on the zak wylde OD he's using and the fact that it's not turned up loud

two biiiig factors to that thinner sound

the amp is definitely a monster at live volume levels

  • hey what are your settings for this vid?

  • DONKEY KONG, MASTODON, SCENES FROM MEMORY, AND VH!! all my favorites

  • Mastodon lolz

  • Will the Mesa Recto 2x12 work with the Mesa F-30?

  • yep.

  • yeah strange deja vu hahaha

  • very 80s sounding

  • ese mono se ve CABRON

  • nice tone.
