  • I have this LP in mint condition. Anyone interested?

  • I was at those Brisbane Botanical Gardens concerts, amazing memories of the 70's being young and full of passion for music and misadventure. Thank you for the best times

  • thank you Jon - I just had a memory of Railroad Gin and was hopeful but prepared to find nothing but this is just awesome to find.

  • Gold

  • Can someone help me here with a chorus lyric.. " Share my bed until the day, ?????? I'll try to take you away" I just can't get it. This song would remix brilliantly into a modern dance tune

  • i am after do ya' love me / academy rock railroad gin released as a single in 1974. i really like academy rock anyone have a copy to paste

  • @ronrambler Hey Ron, did you ever find " do ya love me " on here.

  • Anyone got the video for " All the Good Things " / Carol Lloyd Band ?

  • One of the greatest Aussie rock chicks ... quality voice! This is one of my all-time favourites Aussie songs!

  • Hi Jon. I bought this album back in the 70's, had recently mentioned Railroad Gin to some blogging friends of mine, searched youtube and.....surprise....surprise....!!!!

Good to see they're still remembered!

PS, were they originally from New Zealand?

  • @Dugganite They sure are still remembered. As for the New Zealand thing, I don't believe so. At least not all of them.

  • @Dugganite They were an Australian band and all from Brisbane

  • @Dugganite They were from Brisbane.

  • @Dugganite They were a Brisbane band

  • @Dugganite They're a Brisbane band. The flute in this song is awesome. Thanks for sharing.

  • @Dugganite I believe they were from Brisbane, and started as a garage band

  • Thanks Jon. Got the album, put it on my ipod and now my life is complete. Damn this song is literally the best song ever created!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @PalindromeMojoM Nice one!

  • This is the promo clip footage that I remember so well from Jackie MacDonald's Saturday morning show, mixed with the album track.

  • I was just that bit too young to catch them at any clubs in Brisbane in their heyday, so most of what i heard of them was on the radio; but I always thought Carol Lloyd was the Aussie equivilant of Janis Joplin. They both had a great ballsy voice - perfect for blues based songs. Great vid & thanks for posting.

  • Aaaah, I have been trying to remember this song now for months. Little bits of it going over my mind. Now I have found it I am playing it over and over. I feel emotionally spent, but deeply satisfied.

  • Great stuff, brings back some happy memories of Brisbane in the early 1970s. Saw these guys at the University of Queensland refectory in early 1974, Carol Lloyd stealing the show like the flame-haired whirling dervish that she was. Thank you so much for posting this clip, tremendous.

  • Freaking Awesomeeeeee !!!!!!!

  • wow a blast from my past,,,I used to go and see these guys when i was a teenager in Brissie Thnaks so much for posting it.

  • Wow - absolutely brilliant!

  • So glad to see everyone getting so much enjoyment out of the video!!!!

  • Dude, WHERE on earth did you get this? I have to ask b'c my brother Phil was the lead guitarist....the first person in the shot with the white guitar & I was at the recording of this as a 13 yr old kid!! I thought it had been lost forever & I can't imagine how you got hold of it!! Please share! Without modern media, lost of their stuff is just a memory.....but an awesome one!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this :) Meri

  • I just HAVE to get my hands on a copy of this song!!!! Can anyone help me?

  • What an incredible song!!!!! Back when musicians looked like real people - Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know the chords and lyrics to this song?

  • do you have a download link?

  • Great song from a time almost forgotten

  • Long before Powderfinger emerged here in Brisbane we had the wonderful Railroad Gin. I still have the vinyl single - first one that I ever bought actually.

  • Yeah, great song, yet another way underrated Aussie Brisbane band from the seventies. Carol Lloyd is very powerful, both on stage, and vocally. Thanks for sharing.
