I had a cat that used to sleep with my sister's stuffed bunny. It would lay next to it and hug it just like that. And if we tried to take it away from him he would squeeze it harder and wouldn't let go. It was so cute. He liked it more than my sister did.

@jadu1857 no there was no sign of a struggle..just a clear bite to the back of the neck where the cat had begun to eat at him. my cat was a big tomboy cat-used to the outdoors and to killing his prey for meals. We are talking about a natural predator and lets face it rabbits are prey. Given a chance I think most felines would kill rabbits or any other rodent for a meal-they do play with them before killing them. I didn't think about having my rabbit autopsied for a cause of death..lol

@jadu1857 it was a full grown rabbit actually..and they played together for over a year before the incident. Perhaps he killed him while playing and then decided to make a meal out of him. I dont know. My cat remained my pet for many years until he died, they are animals afterall. Not like I could punish him and send him to a shrink..lol I didnt get rabbits anymore though.

This is cute and shows how some domesticated cats and rabbits can get along well. :) I had a cat and rabbit once, and my cat would lick my rabbit sometimes. To rabbits, it's a show of dominance. The more animals they can get to lick them, the more dominant they feel. Cats lick themselves and anything they think of as a kitten or friend in their hierarchy. My rabbit was on top of the hierarchy because she'd chase after my cat until he would lick her. :) Sometimes they'd sit together. :)
