Hey guys, guess what? About a month ago I upgraded to a 9500 GT and this game runs better than before. Unfortunately, a lot of advanced features needed to be turned off, but I couldn't care less about that.
@Skaarjguy try it yourself if you don't believe me. Just leave everything on low except the world detail and it should work on smaller maps at around 30 FPS. If you really want 60 just leave everything down all the way though.
For gaming, no. It's only barely better than a 6200, so your option of games is extremely limited. I should know. For anything else (like running Windows Aero), it's decent. I'm actually thinking of getting an EVGA 8600 GT, which is much better and only costs $50
I don't encode the video at all I don't think (unless FRAPS does that automatically). I'm using FRAPS on... full size I think. I can't check now because FRAPS keeps crashing.
Anyway, I got the footage to be HD by publishing the movie with Windows Movie Maker using Windows Media HD 720p. I'm pretty sure that that's only available using Windows Vista's WMM, as I haven't seen it in XP's.

@IAmDamarus Did you update to Patch 2.1?
Skaarjguy 1 year ago
@Skaarjguy Not yet. But I will look forward on downloading the Titan Pack and the patch :). Thanks.

@Skaarjguy But wait? Will that also fix the problem when I switch the resolution 2 1024x768, it crashes? It does that ALOT.
IAmDamarus 1 year ago
@IAmDamarus It should.
Also, what are your specs? Just a little question.
Skaarjguy 1 year ago
@Skaarjguy I use NVIDIA GeForce 7100, I play on a Windows XP, but the game runs pretty fine.

Huh, I have to try that sometime.

look who's watching a video on this
propaguything 1 year ago
Mostly on lowest. It can run with world detail on maximum but that is laggy on some maps.

I have a 7100 GS and Unreal Tournament 3 runs fine on the larger maps for me, even with 32 players.

can you help me out, i have a 7150, can you tell me how do i tweak it to run faster
elmalhermano 2 years ago
Sorry, I'm clueless on that. I just set everything in the games to lowest and say "good enough"

No, you won't be able to run on maximum, but you can still play the game on lowest settings.
Skaarjguy 2 years ago
is the 7100 better than the ati hd3200??
KILLCOMBO 2 years ago
Probably not. I'd say go with the HD 3200.

Grats! What program are you using to encode the video? Do you record in fraps using full size or half size? How did you do it in HD?
