  • @Fitange I have not been able to find it for years :(

  • aaaaargh! I wanted to make half the amount but because I'm an idiot I used the full amount of butter!!! Anyone for greasy cinnamon pancakes???? lol I failed. X

  • @venoose1 oh no!! I have done that more than a few times, so you are not alone!

  • I was wondering if i can suggest if you can make monkey bread!! :) I had it at a friends house, and omg.. it was delicious lots of cinnamon with yummy goodness! thankyou!!!! :)

  • I have never had a snickerdoodle assuming it had actual snicker candy bars in them. I was way wrong :)

  • Hi again Beth...

They look yummmmmmmmmmmmmmy to me...I luv cinnamon anything...lol...lol...

Is there a substitute for the cream of tartar...

Thank you so much for sharing...

    Have a fun summer weekend...

    Surie

  • @aohmann I cook with cocks lol

  • You said you were going to be baking a while. If you don't want to have that many cookies floating around you can either

    1.) Mail them to me.

    or

2.) Scoop them into balls, roll them in the sugar and freeze them on a cookie sheet instead of baking them. When they are fully frozen, toss them in a freezer bag with the directions written on them. (bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.) Then when the want for cookies pops up, take a few out and bake them. :)

  • @MeganTerrell lol! :)))))

  • They look awesome to me Beth Yummy I am sure

  • @RichochetTV Thanks, they were :)

  • mmm... my little old german grandma used to whip these up =) ...i remember as a child i always got the job of rolling them in the sugar ;-)

  • @renee7aw aww nice memory :)

  • These were baked often by my neighbor with 7 kids and she always made sure I got one too. We baked them at home too and they were always so delicious. We used the recipe from and old circa late 50's early 60's betty crocker cookbook. The best IMHO :)

  • @LauraInCali aww that's a great memory :)

I found a bunch of vintage pillsbury bake off books. I've made one thing from them and plan on doing a bunch more. VERY cool :)

  • This piece of crap blender Lol :)

  • @KianaLuvsYou44 I need a new one lol

  • Mmmm I've never tried these before I'm going to give it a go..thanks Beth

  • @Fitange Awesome, let me know if you like it!

  • They look so good!! Hugs!

  • @imperceptibleme they were yummy!

  • Instead of rolling, i suggest putting the cinnamin and sugar in a bag and putting a few cookie balls in at a time and shaking the bag. For me its a little faster

  • @mimi4everish Great idea

  • You've inspired me to start my own channel!! Can't wait to start filming videos :)

  • @CreativeGal22 YEY!

  • They look beautiful!!

  • @wildheart5 Thanks! They went pretty darn fast and scott asked for a refill haha

  • I've never heard of Snickerdoodles... but they look SO good!! I'll have to give this recipe a try! :o)

  • @JustinN86 Yes! Give it a try :)

  • those look yummersly... but if you like wendy's better, i like wendy's better ;)

  • i love snickerdoodles and i havent had any for years. my mom's friend joanne wright used to make them for us when we were kids. joanne wright was a nutjob and we eventually dropped her and her kkoky husband and kids. i will have to vlog about the chicken kiev dinner she made us once.

  • @snarkdetriomphe You'll have to tell us the story. How are you doing? You've kind of been missing.

We haven't had snickerdoodles in probably 10+ years!

  • @CookingAndCrafting i've been adjusting to new bp med and resting my sore arthritic hip some. been lying around a lot because when i sit at my computer, it is that very position that makes everything hurt. gonna call pharmacist today and see which anti-inflammatory i can take [doc suggested motrin but then got so busy on my bp she forgot to tell me what to do and i read online that none of them should really be taken with the med im on.]

  • @snarkdetriomphe Hearing all of this makes me ill. I hope they let you know what you can take to help with the pain. What I don't get is why just your left hip would be worn out

  • @CookingAndCrafting i'm sure pharmacist will tell me. the pain yesterday was hellacious, im here watchhing and reading and leaving occasional comments via the on screen kb so i dont have to sit up. ugh. its one of those ill health spells... once i get the pain relieved i am getting back to livin. ;)

  • hey kid

  • HI Beth, this is the recipe I use & they always turn out yummy: 1 1/3 cup of all purpose flour (plain flour to all non-us peeps) ½ tsp of baking soda ¼ tsp of salt 1 tsp of cream of tartar ½ cup of unsalted butter soft (you could use shortening or a mix of both) ¾ of a cup of granulated sugar 1 egg 1 generous tsp of Vanilla extract This makes about 18 cookies, using the same kind of scoop as you have. For the Cinnamon Sugar, well that is up to taste - I usually use a LOT of cinnamon.. xx
  • @SimderZ sounds awesome! I am going to give it a shot with another one I received~!

  • in tx blue bell ice cream sells snickerdoodle flavor w/cookies blended in. very good!!

  • @rozozzy I LOVE BLUE BELL ICE CREAM. Seriously, wish they sold it here.

  • C is for Cookie thats good enough for me.....Sorry I was just watching Sesame street wth my girls...And I am a addict to cookies <3 Lol love snicker doodles My mom used to make them when I was a kid... I dont make them I wait for my mom to make them lol :)

  • @AFabulousFeelin Oooh those are the best kind. Mother didn'tmake Christmas cookies this year because of the broken oven. I have felt cheated, cheated, I say!

  • mike had his first snickerdoodle this past feb, oh my lord he was a fiend after that, home boy ate close to a dozen a day for a while, lol.

darn tootin' you need to use your cute measuring spoons, what is the point of having awesome things if you just keep them hidden? that is a waste

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge uh oh. Don't make them too often ;)

  • They look yummy! I have never had a snickerdoodle cookie before, do they taste like a sugar cookie with cinnamon?

  • @Texa41 a different taste and texture than a sugar cookie though

  • Hey kids~~

  • @Badzeep hey kid!

  • fgfbhdjskfsd need to have this! My most favorite cookie in the whole world <3

  • @XanRith09 ahaha THanks :)

  • My all time favorite cookie! i usually ask Daniel to bring a bag or two to ST from the Old School brand. OMG so good!!! I will have to try these and see if there is much a difference.

  • @darlynn12 aw and Daniel is not coming this year :(

  • @CookingAndCrafting I don't know what i'm going to miss more Daniel or his cookie mix. heheheeh

  • Snickerdoodles were one of my favorite things about the States, haha. I've been craving them like crazy. Looks like I found a solution to that! :D Thanks, as always, Beth. (:

  • @rabbitsrock07 I just got another recipe and was told it was best they'd ever tried. I am going to give that one a go too! :)

  • OMG! I've heard of these (staple in America!!) Looked really yummy. Are they soft or crunchy?? I'd imagine the tops are crunchy but were the middles also?? Are snickerdoodles still the same if their not rolled with a sugar top?? Or do they just become shortbread ahahha. mmm

  • @MissPonderosa soft and crunchy at the same time on the first day. They then get a little harder

  • @CookingAndCrafting Maybe the longer you cook them the harder they get? I absoluately LOVE soft cookies, hate hard ones.. mmm cookies lol DARN IT you got me fantasising about cookies LOL.

Ps those Rooster/chicken spoons ARE cooooooot as :P

  • i never understood, whats the difference between baking powder and baking soda?

  • @thedjisin

Some recipes call for baking soda, while others call for baking powder. Which ingredient is used depends on the other ingredients in the recipe. The ultimate goal is to produce a tasty product with a pleasing texture. Baking soda is basic and will yield a bitter taste unless countered by the acidity of another ingredient, such as buttermilk. You'll find baking soda in cookie recipes. Baking powder contains both an acid and a base and has an overall neutral effect in terms of taste.

  • @andihough oh, thanks, so thats why some things i baked tasted kinda sour-ish

    :)

  • @thedjisin What andihough says -- thanks @andihough

  • Ohmygod! This looks so taasssttyy =D

  • @DalekVoyage thanks ;)
