Your turtles won't eat strawberries probably because they're used to whatever you feed them.. I'd vary their diet.. if your turtle's a land turtle, he should love strawberries.. that's because wild land turtles eat wild strawberries all the time. Once or twice a week i'd coat one of their meals with a Reptile Calcium Powder, because otherwise they don't get the calcium they need to have a tough hard shell. haha pretty informative? i hope it helped.

Can someone help me? My ornate doesn't want to eat healthy thing such as any leafy greens or carrots. It wants to eat anything that is meaty, alive and active. It's becoming expinsive to keep going back to the petstore and buying more crickets now, and dusting them has become a real pain.

@0YtsanBlowout0 If they have nothing else to eat, no other option for a while and realize so, they'll give in and eat the veggies. My turtles were picky but i ran out of food and couldn't afford turtle food so i gave them different fruits and veggies from the fridge. they stared at it for a couple of days then gave in. They now love shredded carrots and lettuce.

I have seven tortoises and ten eggs laid this spring. They are an autochthonous terrestrial race called 'Hermanni hermanni', which is protected by our law.

However there are also other races that live in rivers and sea, these last are quite endangered and rare.

Testudo hermanni eggs take 60-80 days to hatch, it depends on the climate and heat. Mommy tortoise digs a hole in the garden and covers it again, then the little ones come out by themselves. I try to let them live in a natural way as much as possible.

Oh, and by the way, they love strawberries as much as the tortoise of this video. ;)

The turtle I have is wild, we rescue him.Red river slider common where I live. he loves shrimp especially the tail. He doesn't care, piece of shrimp has no chance of escaping him. lol Next to fruit flavor pellets. Trust me turtles love the flavor of fruit. Mine would be some piss of we didn't feed him any. lol
