@madslchr We are a not-for-profit business, operating in the corporate world, to make money to give away to people that really need it. The reality is that the bottled water market is worth over a billion £’s in the UK. Our mission is to displace profits into causes that address the imbalance in our world. We are not saying buy our water INSTEAD of using tap water; we are saying IF you are going to buy bottled water, buy One and make a difference – so far over £6m in donation has been raised.
Bottled water is a terrible waste. Why still advertise for bottled water? The video itself says "we move water from people who already have it, to places where people already have it" - it's a waste of manpower, transportation, energy and plastic
I think supporting water and welfare projects where it is needed is very good and a very important part of creating a better, safer and more sustainable world. How about drinking your local water if you can - and give the money you save to UNICEF?
The global bottled water market is predicted to be 174,286 million litres in 2011. If all water brands donated the equivalent of just 0.1p per litre, this would provide £174,286,000 (£174 million) a year to help alleviate the problem of over a billion people in the world not having access to clean water. A big up to One Water, they've helped over 1.4 million people already. One Water give100% of their profits from sales to fund clean water systems in schools and their communities in Africa.
