I mean don't get me wrong, she's really good. But no way in hell that she's better than Vai. When she does the solo, her legato patterns do not even come close to the speed of Vai. Again, she's amazing, especially for her age, but Vai is a lot better.

@RIObsessed I can play fast runs too. But for me the pinnacle of speed & fluidity is still Shawn Lane. Watch Shawn play this Indian inspired solo instrumental in San Diego in 1991 I think. That's my bench mark of excellence. Maybe I'm a snob about this, but Vai just doesn't cut it for me. There's something about his style that seems too "gimmick riddled".

Any skilled guitarist should be able to play any piece of music, this is not magic folks, just practice and good guidance, anyone with a passion can do it. How ever that is not to say her playing could use some improvement, she is using a lot of effects on that piece, and the real magic here is in the composition. Great musicians look to create their own voice not copy others….
