Yehh!! totaly nice!! It may be usefull to buy a good singing mic. Or come to the netherlands and come to our (PSS) (positive sound studio's) studio to (re)record the song, so we can hear you do the song (or any) on seperate line's. Voice aswell as your guitar playing sounds great.
Hope to hear from you, one way or an other. (DUET??? with the band??) W.L. H.
This kicks butt! You play that amazinly. I have wanted to learn this song for years now, so I youtubed it, and there you were...thank you....you made my day.
Thanks for the tab! It's a lot better than anything else I've found.
Unsolicited advice: your musical abilities are so strong that I think you should concentrate on "selling" your performances. My HS band teacher once shared an anecdote about how several technically perfect musicians auditioned, but the one who got the concert gig was polished in terms of his visuals and the emotion he created for the audience. Intentional does not mean fake, it's just a part of selling a performance.
your playing is great (singing too). would like to play it, but unfortunately my talent is limited. there is a picking pattern in the web (fretplay), but it sounds different. Can you help me?
@moonpaper Hey there - I just added a link to a partial tab that I wrote out a few months ago for someone else. Unfortunately I am with limited internet connection now so this is the best I can do for a while. I hope it does help!
@Megamanlius Do you mean around 0:32 and such? If so, that's exactly a D major shape, but keep in mind I am playing this version with a capo on the first fret, so note-wise its a D# major.
This song is truly beautiful...Johnny Cash has a new version of it coming out on his American VI album due out 2/23/10...His version is also amazing...And, it's the best track on the album bar none!!!
Thanks - I'm gonna try to work on that for the next recording. I'm a guitar player before being a singer, so it is hard for me to intentionally switch the roles around!
fab love it!! Im trying to learn to play this song also on my guitar, finding it abit complex, any tips you could give would be much appreciated :) What chords do you play? Im trying to watch your fingers but i still cant pick it up, i have managed to get the beginning but thts it lol. hope u can help. cheers :D
I used a capo on the 1st fret, not sure if you can see it here. Intro is Am and F; verse is also Am and F, and D at the end of each verse (ie: "...That keep on killing"); Chorus is C Am F C / C Am F D. I'm sure you noticed that there is a picking pattern and some variations to the chords - if you need extra help with that let me know, I could probably tab it out sometime this weekend. There's also a variation in part of the 2nd verse, let me know if you need help w/ it too. I'm glad to help :)

@bbbrowsy Thank you! I cut it short because the end of the song has some variations that I never got around to figuring out on the guitar.
