Kevin reminds me of Harry Merry in this video. He must be from The Netherlands I take it? Also, I've heard of this band that I would concider to be very dark, goth, perhaps satanic is the correct word??? This band is called Coven with Jinx as the lead singer. I think that one guy in the speedo here is in Coven. I think I recognize him on one of their album covers, called Witchcraft Reaps Souls, I believe? But I'm not sure.

The rather fey dancers look as if they were shot seperately and edited into the film afterwards. Was Ayers set up? Maybe he did the video and mimed to the song against a blue screen with minimal props, and the producer promised him he'd blend some suitable pictures into the background later. (Or was it done knowingly high-camp? This was the era of glam-rock verging on seriously gay but performed by very straight guys.)

I think that's what makes this vid so funny, mark22. I'm a mere 40 year old but I first heard Kev in the mid 1970s. I bought this single in a second-hand shop in 1983 and loved it! Not long after I got a copy of ZigZag magazine with Kev in it where he's the female's heart-throb. I only saw this vid for the first time, 3 months ago. It's hilarious. Have seen him live 4 times. Absolutely brilliant . I've got all his albums apart from UnfairGround. Recommended?
