  • The SS were the best soldiers germany had, they were loyal, on many ocassions, fighting to the last men.

  • GAY

  • Weren't the Russians the first to develope paratroopers?

  • @0TheXBoxRocks0 They are crazy enough to put it in practice, but I think they didn't have the means to actually use it, ie: Gas for the planes that could go to tanks. Just speculation of course

  • @0TheXBoxRocks0 Germans were the first to use paratroopers as a weapon, as he said in the video..

  • i think the biggest tactical problem with the fallschirmjaegers was that unlike the americans paratroopers, they didn't jump with their main weapons on them, they jumped with only pistols, which is why everyone had one, and picked up their weapons from pods dropped separately.

  • @taylor1051891 Yeah when I first learned that they went in with just sidearms that surprised me. I know some of them might have jumped with a automatic weapon slung over their soldiers but only a few of them did that.

  • the 1st ss fallschirmjager regiment practically blew my great uncle in half in Ortona. no hard feelings tho. its interesting to learn about the enemy who is so closely connected to my family history

    thanks for posting this video

  • @puppetmaster532 No such unit? the only SS parachute unit was the 500th SS-Parachute Battalion ( SS-Fallschirmjager battalion), renamed SS-Fallschrimjager battalion 600 after they were wiped out trying to kill Tito in Yugoslavia during "Operation Drvar"

  • @puppetmaster532 what is strange you would expect a unit of SS Paratroopers to have a mix of SS Nazi idilogy mixed with the Para's ethos and esprit de corps to be a formidable fighting force? In reality the SS Para battalion achieved nothing of tactical significance during the limited number of operations they took part in. In fact they were virtually wiped out on every operation?

  • The Fallschirmjager were not Nazis, neither were the Wehrmacht or Volkssturm.I'd understand if you called the SS nazi though, but this is just a..a...Misconception.

  • @SSdivisionen tbh the SS were the Nazi's political arm in the military. So I don't understand what you mean by it being a misconception.

  • @sourcemaster Everyone generalises German troops as Nazis. This is OBVIOUSLY incorrect.

  • WHY DO PEOPLE THINK ALL BRAVE GERMAN SOLDIERS WERE NAZIS?!

  • @148scalemodeling 'cause they obeyed to Adolf Hitler's orders without rise, destroing others countries?

  • @148scalemodeling Because they were volunteers

  • @planb1532190 The american soldiers are volunteers too, but that does not make them democrats.

  • @148scalemodeling jude propaganda

  • They are NOT Nazis, damnit.

  • Nazi is no nationality

  • why are you doingit in front of the tv stupid bitch!@

  • revealing document captured from a German paratrooper who was taken prisoner in Greece reveals much of the Fallschirmjägers elite attitude. Titled the Ten Commandments

  • @ad220588 - Kinda ironic those documents were captured from a captured paratrooper.

  • @mariotrooper1000 hahaha :)

  • @mariotrooper1000 could also be captured from a dead para.

  • 1. You are the elite of the Wehrmacht. For you, combat shall be fulfillment. You shall seek it out and train yourself to stand any test

2.Cultivate true comradeship, for together with your comrades you will triumph or die.

  • 3.Be shy of speech and incorruptible. Men act, women chatter; chatter will bring you to the grave.

4.Calm and caution, vigor and determination, valour and a fanatical offensive spirit will make you superior in attack.

  • 5. In facing the foe, ammunition is the most precious thing. He who shoots uselessly, merely to reassure himself, is a man without guts. He is a weakling and does not deserve the title of paratrooper.

  • 6.Never surrender. Your honour lies in Victory or Death.

    7. Only with good weapons can you have success. So look after them on the principl e First my weapons, then myself.

  • 8.You must grasp the full meaning of an operation so that, should your leader fall by the way, you can carry it out with coolness and caution.

9.fight chivalrously against an honest foe; armed irregulars deserve no quarter.

  • 10

Keep your eyes wide open. Tune yourself to the top most pitch. Be nimble as a greyhound, as tough as leather, as hard as Krupp steel and so you shall be the German warrior incarnate.

  • get a capture card you fucking loser.

  • I like those falschirmjagergewehr42s

  • wow they got gloves!

  • @warftrat87 Yes, the German airborne got gloves for jumps, but so did the American airborne.

  • not as nice as american paratroopers.

  • @HowYouSayOwned British is better

  • @LordWellington15 As the war approached neither Britain nor America had paratrooper regiments. Both countries put their faith in the movement of complete military units by air – men, supplies, artillery pieces etc. This was known as air-landing. It was the Germans who seized on the potential that paratroopers gave. Such troops fitted in perfectly with Guderian’s vision of lightening war

  • @LordWellington15 During the Spanish Civil War, the Germans had gained experience in air-landings, primarily using the Junkers 52. It was to be this plane that was to be the workhorse of the Fallschirjager

  • @ad220588 ...... /?

  • @HowYouSayOwned if it wasnt for the Fallschirmjagers there wouldnt be american paratroops

  • @HowYouSayOwned much nicer as ;)

  • Terrible quality. Sounds like it would be a neat episode though.

  • wow nice quality

  • Also, many, many professional officers of the Wehrmacht were allowed to join the Bundeswehr in the mid fifties. This includes men like Heinz Guderian's son, Heinz-Gunther, Erich Hartmann (top scoring fighter ace of all time), Gerhard Barkhorn (second top scoring ace), Adolf Heusinger (general in the army), Bernhard Rogge (admiral in the Kreigsmarine and the Bundesmarine), and Rudolf Witzig, himself a Fallschirmjaeger who participated in the siege of Eben-Emael, and retired from the Heer in 1974.

  • The wehrmacht soldiers weren't "stormtroopers" either.

  • okay, we shouldnt hate german soldiers, because germany is a great country, we should hate NAZIs and hitlers parents for having sex :P and although this guys are amazing with all their gear and shit, in my honest opinion the allied elite paratroopers were somewhat better

  • @0mgwtfbbq21 no they wheren better much better! nver heard of "Fort Eban Emael"?

  • @0mgwtfbbq21 they were not better-they were simply more. What you don't know that isn't on record is the Waffen SS is who invented the United States Green Berets & special forces, including Navy Seals. All U.S. special forces curricula came from the Waffen SS. - Dont get me wrong not the political Ideologie!

  • @0mgwtfbbq21 you want belive it, the Prime Minister of German Lowe Saxonia is a Brit

  • you have to respect your enemy donn't take them seriously will get you killed

  • fallschirmjagers paved the way for airborne. And yeah, they were german, but most of the time they fought well and honorably. It was war, and history is written by the victors. They were "the bad guys" but it wasn't black-and-white.

9th FSJ commandment (they had 10 commandments): Fight chivalrously against an honest foe; armed irregulars deserve no quarter. They considered armies to be an honest foe (look up Monte Cassino monestary--they avoided using it because it was a historic site)

  • These guys were German Soldiers, not Nazis, they aren't the fucking SS. Get a clue.

  • @10mmTroy

The German Fallschirmjaeger did have a very intense political education and were often party members so they are Nazi's.

  • @stur46

    Logic fail.

  • @10mmTroy actually the waffen ss were just troops as well

  • @himmler251 Fanatical nazis all of them.

  • @himmler251 Nah they were the most feared. Had more authority than any ordinary troop or gestapo. I know this from discussing the subject with someone who lived there at that time.

  • man germans were really really smart !!!

  • @marcusos1111 i have a theory. if hitler wasn't psycho and didn't kill the jews, didn't break the treaty with the soviets, and didn't invade poland, but just did good work in his country like educating them i think they would have been one of the big countries today, maybe even a super power. what do you think?

  • @PrideLoyaltyRespect1

Hitler founded German industry and newfound power entirely on building tanks; planes and bombs. If he doesnt have anywhere to sell all that product, the nation would have relapsed back into poverty.

Without all the war-loot taken from Polish; French, Czech, Austrian, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and Russian banks/national treasuries... Well, Germany is going to relapsed back into poverty.

  • @PrideLoyaltyRespect1 They are one of the big countries anyways. :)

  • Did he just oorah nazis?

  • @CadetAirsoft ass hole, theres a diffrence with a german soldier and a nazi.

  • @CadetAirsoft German soldiers weren't Nazis, but unfortunately they were controlled by them. My best friend's grandfather was wounded in WWII and a German soldier saved his life. They are pen pals to this day.

  • lol wen i saw that parachute suked i laughed so hard

  • lol this guys hilarious!

  • lol blow up like a child's pool toy.

  • Yeah, you may as well call all those G.I.'s democrats with that kind of logic.

  • The nazi party was exactly that.... a political party.

Most of the military were not even part of that evil demented party.

Most of what has been known about war atrocities was commited dy the wicked SS. The ss was a fanatic paramillitary group that started as a law enforcement group and got millitary status thanks to hitler. Those guys were really evil and generally came to the battlefields after the battles had been won by the regular army... to "clean" the place.

  • they werent allowed to be affiliated due too german law all wermacht were not to have an allegeance to a single political party this law still exists today

  • " to "clean" the place.. "

what do you mean ?.. these guys came up to brush and vacuum-clean the battlefield.. .?

I want to know exactly who taught you the bullshit you talking..

  • @bulumbumm . BULLSHIT?...... they came to the recently ocupated countries to exterminate all the Jews.... gypsies... and every other "non racially acceptable" individuals. The Wehrmacht soldiers fought to occupy the places..... the SS minions followed and literally "CLEANED" the fuckin place. Just read a little you neo nazi fuck.

  • you are mixing up "Waffen-SS" (a fighting part of the "Wehrmacht(Army)", elite-soldiers with better equipment ) with the "SS" (Schutzstaffel : personal army to protect NSDAP).

the bad guys you are talking about are the "SS-Totenkopf-Division (part of SS)" <- these guys were brainwashed dumbfucks who worked in the KZ-Camps.. and did the war crimes. actually 2 different things.

and don't tell me to read or a "neo-nazi-fuck" you stupid non-educated idiot.

occupated <- what the fuck `? occupied ?

  • @bulumbumm every nazi in germany are brain washed however SS members where the ones who commit more of the war crimes than any other unit.

  • @KimCHiBaStaRd I just tried to explain the difference of "Waffen-SS" (a elite fighting unit under the command of "the Wehrmacht(Army)" AND "SS" ..

    shortly : "SS" and "Waffen-SS" = 2 different things..

Often mixed up in history books...

  • Just because they are German Paratroopers does not mean they are Nazi. I'm in a Fallschirmjager reenactment group and have done a bit of research. The Fallschirmjager, and the entire Luftwaffe for that matter, had very few National Socialists compared to some of the other branches, but again, just because they are German does not mean they are a Nazi.

  • You are correct that to be a German soldier did not automatically mean a Nazi soldier, but virtually all Geman males above the age of 18 were Nazi members because it was just common sense in a one-party state. But do note, the Fallshirmjagers were actually more "Nazi" than most of the non-SS troops because they were an elite force which demanded the most fanatical men and the most fanatical men in the late 1930s were usually young men who had been fully educated under the Nazi state.

  • Thats true, and its also because the average Hans was drafted into infantry, if they really wanted to fight for their country they tryed their best, did their best, and joined the elite, because they believed what they where fighting for, which was National Socialism. All the SS where NS, and thats because they had to be, because they where handpicked by the best of the best in the German military at that time.

I'm sure seeing you on alot of these Mail Call videos.

  • What is so odd about that? Lee Ermey is a fun fellow. Even if he doesn't have lots of new information, he is entertaining nonetheless.

  • the normal hans was fighting for his government because he didnt wanted his country to get fucked by reparations of Worldwar 1 anymore..

  • @Stritchers Thats the normal "ideology mechanism".. 1. Just take a lot of young men/boys. 2. educate them the way you want them "to think" [fanatic, nazi] 3. then they act as they should...

    examples:

    Taliban soldiers and their jihad,

German-SS and their racist background (jews, gipsies, "Herrenrasse"),

US-Marines (bringing holy - godgiven pseudo democracy),

Opinions are always formed by education.. Control the education- - you will control the opinion..

  • @Stritchers

Actually, no. Classically speaking, in one-party states, only about 10% of the theoretically elligible people are actually members of the party. Most children received some party education, but who could actually join the party proper was fairly strictly controlled; there were several "sieve" organisations you had to join and demonstrate enthusiasm/excellence in. This was true both of Nazy Germany and the Soviet Union, and was probably true for fascist Italy and many others.

  • @BQ12bass Very true. Fighting in the military doesn't mean you're the tool of some terrible politicians. Some people need to understand that. Being a soldier is about doing your job. Politics are secondary.

  • "Being a soldier is about doing your job" - no.. today it is about. ."kill!.. or be killed in combat for actually nothing.. while the guy who send you there is drinking a nice cup of coffee.. and somebody else is fucking your girlfriend at home....

WW2 was different....Hitler was starting some hard shit..

Saddam Hussein just wanted to sell his oil for Euro instead of Dollars.. guess who was pissed on...

the stories of "bin laden" and "terrorists" are just for dumb hillbillis.. .

  • A Fallschirmjager reenactment group? Holy shit, dude.

  • bad ass mofos

  • without the fallschirmjager we wouldnt have the parachute regiment, the 101st or the 82nd airbourne. show some respect

  • definitely not america. im rooting for germany and german ingenuity.

  • No you ignorant fuck. Its just the Germans created a hell of a lot of things in a short ass amount of time, a lot of important things

  • I'm not a Nazi either. They were so far advanced over every nation on the planet, without them, we wouldn't have a lot of things. Nice mom joke you pathetic 10 year old.

  • russians were actually the first to use Paratroops for infantry (not Pilots) in the early 1920ies. In the Spanish ciwil war 1936 the italins used Paratroopers to in combat. But well, th germans are the best known becuase the allies feared them so much.

  • well yes they did, but they had very crude methods. the fallschirmjager were the first true paratroopers and the first to use them correctly

  • well i dont know about that.... after everyone saw russians sliding off the wings of bombers with parachutes on every body started experimenting with the airborne idea, but the fallschirmjagers deffinetly had a load of infulence, proffesional soldiers they were...

  • @GearGuy92

Exactly! The Fallschirmjagers are the spiritual forefathers of ALL paratroopers.

  • @GearGuy92 and yet, who was better?

  • @Patton122145 thats very difficult to say. but i mean if the germans wouldnt have been in the last few months of the war when they faced the americans, that would have been a whole different story, believe me.

  • @1993heavenshallburn oook um the US invaded feance in June 1944 and the germans gave up in May 1945 correct? thats almost a year of fighting Americans...more then a few months. infact, the US Airbourne and German Airbourne faced off more then once.

  • @Patton122145 look, when they faced off the germans were leached out because of five years of war against the whole world. their economy was almost down and their oil was running out. most of their tanks had fuel for only 30 kilometers. they also didnt have any air support. and yet, see what they were able to achieve with the battle of the bulge! considering all that you have to see that the germans were in such a bad way they didnt have a big chance. but they still fought!

  • @GearGuy92 paratroopers around the would respect them for that reason.

  • @GearGuy92 bo its the other way around

  • The 506th met these guys in Carertan from the 6th Fallshinjager Division

  • Pretty cool how we can give the German Fallschirmjaegers an oorah.

  • @LuciusTheFair uhm? no?

  • Can anyone please tell me where I can find the very first ad for this show?

  • man is this show still on?

  • no its being replaced with a different show with Gunny

  • yes they were pretty cool id hate note having a parachute to control XD

  • You still cant control a military parachute, particularly low level static line.

  • Wow thanks i learned alot. German paratroops are something you rarely hear described. The FG-42 was really interesting. A German BAR, that's awesome.

  • sick vid to bad it dident download properly

  • thanks for putting this up! i love mail call!

  • sorry about quality didnt dowmload right

  • @TrueSeanamus actually, you videotaped a tv screen. cheap bastard.
