this is a wonderful, heartbreaking film. my grandmother suffers from alzhiemers, and the representation of the disease in this movie is terribly real. funny how through the fog of illness, it's music that stays with us.

Kate always sings with a "natural" voice in her films. It's artistic integrity. In films in which her character is supposed to be able to sing, she sings better, and in other films she sings worse. It would be odd if she opened her mouth and something like Leona Lewis's voice came out. Wouldn't be fitting with the film.

Sweet voice - I think she missed one note maybe but still a nice performance. The purity of the style kind of fits the character. Wish there was more of young Judy Garland singing pure before she went show bizzy
