Seriously, though... I don't really know anything about Bard, but... I was on the "Concert Board" in college, and we could only get really second-rate performers. Not even 1st rate indie performers, although "indie" was a little different a decade and a half ago when my story takes place.
I attended Bard in '84/85. They have a good program. The main thing I learned is, if you get writer's block, you got to plow through and keep writing, even if it isn't about what you want. Just write about yourself or your block. I did a lot of partying, so it's hard to recall specifics. The classes are very personal, everyone sits at a table. My favorite poetry book was Norton's Anthology. It had a great overview of my favorites.

Can someone, by any chance, describe the Creative Writing program at Bard College?
