Ive always loved this song from the first time i heard it. The song is beautiful, and the solo goes perfect with it. Randy Rhoads is 1 of the best ever and influenced many who is playing. Randy is better then Zakk or the other way around. Zakk was never trying to replace Randy because you can't replace someone like Randy. Randy is 1 of Zakk's idols as is Zakk, Randy and Dime are mine. Its a contest its the love of music, & showing respect for the 1's who influenced you. Whoever it maybe!
Well, He wasn't the first guitarist after Randy, but uhhh... He's damn sure the most amazing since Randy. We got lucky that Randy was one of his biggest influences, so he does awesome work with Randy's music. Besides, imagine how incredible it must have been, chosen to play for his favorite Band, replacing one of his biggest influences.
@joediver1119 I lived in Albuquerque, NM for a few years (Randy's hometown) and a friend of mine knew him. Well his dad knew him. His dad used to hang out and party with Randy. He said Randy was one of the coolest guys he ever met and of course a hell of a drummer.
Ituomela REF Bernie Torme without any doubt in my mind the best irish guitarist ever, check out Gillan albums"Mr Universe, Glory Rd & Futuer shock" for Bernie at his best. Squeals, groans & moans the whole lot. He didn't want to tour with Ozzy coz he didn't rate himself that highly. Randy was a legend but so is Bernie just different. Bernies early solo stuff is well worth a listen if you can get hold of any , couple of fantastic covers spring to mind Bony Maronie & All day & all of the night.
@k33pnitr3al i wouldnt want zakk back, he was a great player but it was starting to sound to much like Black Label Society, Guss G will take ozzy to new places, SCREAM was a perfect example of that
@lolnumpty SCREAM wasn't a good album in my opinion. No matter who Ozzy has now, the music won't be the same. Anyways, Gus G is an amazing progressive guitarist, but I think Zakk and Ozzy had the best bond.
Randy Rhodes, And Randy Castillo , two of his best band mates, A guitarist from hell, and a drummer up with the best. good song, good times, and good memories
@peligrojandro95 I was just saying how much i admire the two of them. Randy Was ozzys best friend for a time. Its sad he died so soon before his time.
Dude when i was your age (im 14 :P) i was pretty sad to hear it to... accually Randy inspired me to play guitar. i heard "Crazy Train" and "flyin high again" and i told myself "thats what i wanna be lie when i grow up"!!
so if you play guitar keep at it and maybe somday youll be like Randy or Zakk....
A bunch of Ozzy's famous songs were written by him and Randy. Like come on, what would be an Ozzy concert without Crazy Train or I Don't Know (just naming a few).
but....if he didnt play them they would never be heard again
also in all the songs that randy wrote that were not as good as this song zakk adds his own essence to those songs in songs like this he does it the way randy did it which was great
This might be the last tour where I actually heard Ozzy sound good..92?Theatre of Madness tour I believe. He's always sick and just getting old and his voice is getting bad. Zakk has to tune way down from the original versions cuz he cant hit those notes anymore ..Still love him.
@peligrojandro95 technically... you fuckin people that think you know it all, just kill me..the first person to replace and finish the tour when randy died was a guy by the name of "Bernie Torne",the year was 1982,month he joined was April,Randy died in March...he even use Randy's peddle board for which he was convinced it was haunted..look it up if ya don't believe me..and learn something...
Zakk is kickass, but Randy's solos had something magic...
