@fakeo alot of pplz perfer the cartoons/anime then the comics...and there not boxing gloves, if u seen the movie where they first show metal sonic, u can see that knuckles is a gold hunter thing, so wat he is wearing on his hands is just some stuff that helps him stay on the ceiling or walls or can help him dig a little, thats y in sonic X, and in sonic adventure, knuckles uses those claws things so he can dig! if knucles used it as a boxing thing, he would fail alot...more then he does...
