I like Jacqli because she's *SPOILER AR TONELICO:MELODY OF ELEMIA* the final boss of the first game. I always liked her, like:"Humaaaaans! Go awaaaaayyy!" or "I won't take it easy on this world anymore!", I finished Cloche's route, then played the game again just to see this ending...I owed this to her, since I kicked her ass pretty hard in the first game. :P

The only way for a male to use magic is if that person was a Moon Chanter,though they all died out over a thousand years before even the first game in the series.
Not to mention a Moon Chanter's Song Magic is only about 10% as powerful as a regular 3rd Generation Reyvateil's Song Magic and Moon Chanters also couldn't use Combo Magic.
However,curiously the Moon Chanters somehow didn't need a Magic Server (Ar Tonelico and Infel Pira for example) to use Song Magic,unlike Reyvateils.
@VictoryZetaMKII actually not, Reyvateils were actually created because the amount of D Dynamic Waves they can produce is way higher than any human's.

I originally thought Luca was cool, and since she had apparently already been going out w/ Croix or whatever, I decided to choose her first...then I started regretting my decision, when farther down the line, bother Cloche and Jac were way cooler (Jac being the most interesting). This is def the best ending. It actually has meaningful talk rather than just fluff like Luca and Cloche.

okay than that is your opinion. for all purposes the companies goal is to sell the game to make as much money as possible. think of how many different meaning some words in other languages are, and thus when translated it's hard to tell what the meaning they have, or if there is no word or familiarity with it that is an issue as well. it's why we sometimes use the words itself in it's original language. Americans and Japanese are too different for it to work in a perfect word to word trans.

Look, it's a 'localisation' of the game, not just a translation. Some things are changed to make things work more smoothly in the other language.
Also, I wouldn't say the names were completely changed(maybe except for Mir); you can still make out Chroche, Luka, Orica or Misya from Cloche, Luca, Mir, Aurica or Misha and they feel much more natural for us playing the game in English.
I understand the 'Trulyworth' screwup and I'm by no means supporting it, but I think it is understandable that someone didn't notice the hidden meaning in it.
And for Mir... I'm pretty sure you know English well enough to understand what most people would associate with 'Mule'.
I'm very glad this game came to shores, not like they did much of a good job translating it "accurately." It reminds me of Devil May Cry 2, a rush job and translated by noobs. The voices were great, they just wern't localized in ALL event scenes. Plus a lot of typoes to go around. Still, I had fun playing the game while it lasted.
okay then on that note don't even bother translating the game at all.
I'll have you know that while with games like this I could care less about Voice acting since most of the game isn't anyway so I'm always just playing my own music; when it comes to games that can or do have voice acting in most or every cut scene I prefer a familiar language to me.
Jacqli is my favourite character in AT2... Her American Voice Actor is really the best... XD
Frelia voice is also good, it's so cute... XP
But, I wonder... There's so many things in AT2 that haven't been answered... Plus Jacqli entrusting Cocona with the Heart of Gaea and stuff... And in her ending Croix go with her to Sol Ciel... Would be nice if Ar Tonelico III features Croix and Jacqli meeting the characters from the first game... I would love to see Croix and Lyner fighting together... XDDD
Definately my favorite ending out of the 6 (including the ones from the first game). There's just so many beautiful things about this ending. Mir, the former evil mastermind from the first game, singing a Hymnn with the very creature she despises...yet they love each other.
wow i will admit i didnt expect the guy to sing the first time you hear one sing not even lyner did that of course u couldn't pick just one girl in the first game so in a way these endings are better because there more personalized lol i just thought this but will any of the original cast besides cocoona be in the last game (i mean theres three towers so there has to be three games) i best hope is that they bring the casts from 1 & 2 togather that would be awesome!!

Yeah, that makes sense... In the first Ar Tonelico it was possible to be full committed to the three Reyvateils... I sounds like cheating, but, at least it was possible to get all Songs and Costumes in just one Playthrough... If Ar Tonelico II had at least a New Game +, would be awesome, being able to get all Songs and Costumes for all Reyvateils... XD
well yes and no if you think about it in the first one each one of the girls suffered a deep traumatic event aurica thought she was useless and lost her parents, misha didn't like the fact that her destiny led to a life of confinement. and before lyner shurelia never really knew what it was like to love or be close to someone so you can see why he could enter all three so that he could help them all with their trauma's whereas in the second one it wasn't nearly as sever and all was solved
you simply had to decide whom you would be with in the new world chloche, luca, or jaquli/Mir of all of them mir probably was the most troubled because she was still getting used to intereacting to humans considering she had been confined for over a thousand years due to hatred of them but again if you saw the game through properly you can't help but feel really sorry for her as usual it was our fault why the bad guy went from being swee to being a world decimating psycopath
lol do u think he would still be a legendary diver if he had had the same options as croix honestly this the one major thing i did not like about the second game in the first you got to see all three girls minds in this one you can only choose one they should of given you a choice like in melody of elemia where you chose which girl you want to end up with and not restrict your song magic during the game
After watching all the other endings, I am VERY glad I got this one, the others just don't feel right at all.

1.Jacqli.(Both dislikes and attacks/kills nearly everyone,is lonely and keeps to herself,somewhat psychotic,but really is just misunderstood)
2.Luca.(Most friendly of all of them,and has been with Croix the longest)
3.Lady Cloche.(Replakia was awesome,but not much else interested me)

So what? Some names get changed in the translation of about any game it's not like NISA are the only ones that does it. These kind of comments annoys me a heck of a lot more then there VA.

I means a LOT GODDAMMIT. NISA changed the NAME OF CHARACTER, THE TOWER AND EVEN THE HYMNOS and YOU STILL SAID SO FUCKING WHAT??
Especially Luca's family name which is Truelywaath.. This is the hymnos language and NISA changed it into Trullyworth? Why do they HAVE TO CHANGED THE NAME WHEN IT'S NOT NECCESARY TO?! NISA want's to be considered as the part of Project Atelier?

NISA is the one bringing it here. They're free to do with it as they please. You should be happy it even came over to other countries.
Furthermore, if it really bothers you sooo much, just go buy the Japanese version, play that, and leave the US translation alone.

Its laugheable that you are mad about a video game, because its just that, in fact I'm sure that unless that you have known of the original thing of hymnos and names, you wouldnt be so mad, the game is still enjoyable and you are letting that the "bad" things interfere with that... so sad. By the way, If you complain about leaving only the japanese voices, I must remind you that some people are dislexic...

And what did I say? that if you havent known that in the fisrt place, you wouldnt be angry (lol and you keep putting the giant letters). But anyway, I think that maybe because there are things that in japanese sound and are written different than in english... and in the end, more expecifically about this game, I doubt that someday I would bother to learn the hymnos language, so the meaning of the names is not of my concern. I have to admit that I laughed tough: Jacqli sounds like Jack Lee XD

Some of them are changed because the romanji isn't very good on English tongue sometimes.
It's just a character's name, chill out. Not like they pulled a 360 on the personality. Like I said, at least they brought it over.
A few changes they make in the English translation is not the end of the world. Heck, it wasn't even supposed to be realized in NA in the first place.

It kinda helps if you have vowels huh? Japanese has a similar issue with us trying to pronounce something right in English if it's romanticized with a different spelling.

okay than that is your opinion. for all purposes the companies goal is to sell the game to make as much money as possible. think of how many different meaning some words in other languages are, and thus when translated it's hard to tell what the meaning they have, or if there is no word or familiarity with it that is an issue as well. it's why we sometimes use the words itself in it's original language. Americans and Japanese are too different for it to work in a perfect word to word trans.

Hymnos or not, the fact is than her name would be a bunch of simbols like the rest of the language. you rominize the japanese "translation" of her name. and it sounds like that in english when you pronouce it in English just as your insists is how you would pronouce it in japanese or your own language.
or are you telling me that in English Ch doesn't make a sound that makes her name seem like a french bread? so than how would the way to pronouse Chess? because it has no "CHA" in it to you.

Oh come on, the biggest RPG in the playstation era Final Fantasy 7 made the same damn mistake and I don't see anyone wining. granted at the time most didn't have internet and wouldn't know Aris wasn't her real name but i don't see many complaining with it.
I'm just saying Names get misdone all the time, and if you think it's so precious than why wasn't it in Hymnos and they just say the names rather than them having the name like that. hell I do the same to my name, look at my profile.

and YEAH CHORCHE, RUKA and MULE names are ALL in hymmnos.. It's not Luca Trullyworth but RUKA TRUELYWAATH (it's a Hymmnos language).. not Cloche Leyhal Pastalia but CHROCHE LATEL PASTALIE (yeah it's a hymmnos too) You all should be grateful that this GUST allowed this wonderful game is translated but with those crappy dub and those false naming? I think you're overreacting.
Look, it's a 'localisation' of the game, not just a translation. Some things are changed to make things work more smoothly in the other language.
Also, I wouldn't say the names were completely changed(maybe except for Mir); you can still make out Chroche, Luka, Orica or Misya from Cloche, Luca, Mir, Aurica or Misha and they feel much more natural for us playing the game in English.

I understand the 'Trulyworth' screwup and I'm by no means supporting it, but I think it is understandable that someone didn't notice the hidden meaning in it.
And for Mir... I'm pretty sure you know English well enough to understand what most people would associate with 'Mule'.

I'm very glad this game came to shores, not like they did much of a good job translating it "accurately." It reminds me of Devil May Cry 2, a rush job and translated by noobs. The voices were great, they just wern't localized in ALL event scenes. Plus a lot of typoes to go around. Still, I had fun playing the game while it lasted.

okay then on that note don't even bother translating the game at all.
I'll have you know that while with games like this I could care less about Voice acting since most of the game isn't anyway so I'm always just playing my own music; when it comes to games that can or do have voice acting in most or every cut scene I prefer a familiar language to me.

Jacqli is my favourite character in AT2... Her American Voice Actor is really the best... XD
Frelia voice is also good, it's so cute... XP
But, I wonder... There's so many things in AT2 that haven't been answered... Plus Jacqli entrusting Cocona with the Heart of Gaea and stuff... And in her ending Croix go with her to Sol Ciel... Would be nice if Ar Tonelico III features Croix and Jacqli meeting the characters from the first game... I would love to see Croix and Lyner fighting together... XDDD

Jacqli's my favourite character in AT2 as well. My only other favourite character from AT1 is Shurelia.
I would like to see the scene where Croix and Jacqli meet up with the characters from AT1.

Definately my favorite ending out of the 6 (including the ones from the first game). There's just so many beautiful things about this ending. Mir, the former evil mastermind from the first game, singing a Hymnn with the very creature she despises...yet they love each other.

wow i will admit i didnt expect the guy to sing the first time you hear one sing not even lyner did that of course u couldn't pick just one girl in the first game so in a way these endings are better because there more personalized lol i just thought this but will any of the original cast besides cocoona be in the last game (i mean theres three towers so there has to be three games) i best hope is that they bring the casts from 1 & 2 togather that would be awesome!!

Yeah, same here... If you go past one Reyvateil Cosmosphere LV5, you can't go past another Reyvateil LV5...
Unlike the first Ar Tonelico, you can't MAX all Cosmospheres in one playtrough... It's so sad... T_T

Yeah, that makes sense... In the first Ar Tonelico it was possible to be full committed to the three Reyvateils... I sounds like cheating, but, at least it was possible to get all Songs and Costumes in just one Playthrough... If Ar Tonelico II had at least a New Game +, would be awesome, being able to get all Songs and Costumes for all Reyvateils... XD

well yes and no if you think about it in the first one each one of the girls suffered a deep traumatic event aurica thought she was useless and lost her parents, misha didn't like the fact that her destiny led to a life of confinement. and before lyner shurelia never really knew what it was like to love or be close to someone so you can see why he could enter all three so that he could help them all with their trauma's whereas in the second one it wasn't nearly as sever and all was solved

you simply had to decide whom you would be with in the new world chloche, luca, or jaquli/Mir of all of them mir probably was the most troubled because she was still getting used to intereacting to humans considering she had been confined for over a thousand years due to hatred of them but again if you saw the game through properly you can't help but feel really sorry for her as usual it was our fault why the bad guy went from being swee to being a world decimating psycopath

lol do u think he would still be a legendary diver if he had had the same options as croix honestly this the one major thing i did not like about the second game in the first you got to see all three girls minds in this one you can only choose one they should of given you a choice like in melody of elemia where you chose which girl you want to end up with and not restrict your song magic during the game
