I can not say more than "great".

If I can play just this song, that's enough for me.

  • Thanks alnajmi, I'm positive you can do it if you "want" to !

  • Wow i like this.

I find the song so nice ;-)

  • It is indeed a great song, beatiful Lyrics (Omar Khayyam), music of Riadh Sunbati, amazing performance by the "Lady" Om Kalthoum

  • فنان ممتاز ينقصه السرعه

  • يجب مراعاة الزمن الموسيقي في الأساس، ولا يجوز للسرعة أن تطغى في العزف

    Shukran Jizilan Prof!

  • You're most welcomed Beauchamp

  • J'adore ce style de musique surtout jouée de façon aussi virtuose.

  • wow!

  • .....;)

  • Dear kchelu, it is really my pleasure to have instigated those sincere emotions of yours for that song, and for the great Khayyam, with his deep meaningful and spiritual words. I like that song a lot in particular too. Welcome abaord :)

  • Thanks to you aburhanitube.

  • Im very western raised and also in music that is but I dont like western music so much,I like arabic music much more and when I listen to it, I get shivers and all my hairs on my arm stand up. Arabic music like in ur clip are so much more spiritual then most music made today. Keep up making great music like this, u really inspire people this way!

  • Thank you robindooreman for your nice comment. Although generally mucsic can be a common ground for sharing feelings from different backgrounds, I'll have to agree with you that Arabic music has its own majic touch!, and I'm being as inpartial as possible here, but strongly think its a fact. I do too love many genres of the western music, but each fruit has its own sweetness. Original Arabic music to me is the standing gem.

  • Those were the days! The good Persian Poetry of Khayyam translated by the amazing Egyptian Ahmed Rami to be sung by the most glorious Um Kulthum on the most sensual Egyptian Oud Taqaseem. The art of the Orient in its glory... What we today would supress under the name of "religions" and "morals"

  • Thank you weedbag205 for sharing your thoughs with us. Yes, very true....the words of the great poet Khayyam are deeply touching. What's even greater is the smooth harmony between the words....music and the singing performance !!. Religiously or morally, it's how you use the music that makes the difference eventually :). In essence, music is just a pure expression of inner feelings !

  • Perfectly true! I am just currently in shock as some here have been lecturing on how "some muslims waste their time on music and poetry". This was in reaction to Iran's Shahram Nazeri winning the French Légion d'Honneur as he featured Rumi poetryin the UNESCO "Year of Rumi" celebrating Mevlana's 800th birthday! We cannot appreciate our own music, poetry and legendary history of appreciation as much as the rest of the World appreciates them! How saddening!

  • You are aboslutely correct. It is very sad that we underappreciate the treasures of our culture. The words of Rumi just make me very ecstatic....highly spiritual and up-lefting. I don't understand how could anyone deny that..! Most of his words are a result of his own spiritual drunkiness.., something a lot of scholars unfortunately don't appreciate or comprehend.

  • I love to watch and listen to your videos playing the oud. I love stringed instruments as well. The oud speaks a beautiful language. The oud you are playing is very beautiful. How could I obtain one here in the US? The email address posted on one of your videos does not work so I sent you a private you tube email.

  • Thanks for your nice comments buddy. Well, the oud speaks "music", and your impression with the oud materializes the fact that "muisc is a universal language". The email is fine, but I replied to your messege too. Take care.

  • very charming, keep up the good art

  • Oh thank you dadiss :)

  • your oud shape and trappings very beautiful.

  • Thank you for your beautiful comments too :)

  • You are goood my friend! thanks

  • Many thanks to you my friend :)
