ANd remember, the Sabbath is about resting, worshipping and do good to others to proclaim the kingdom of God, repentance towards our sins, forgiveness in Jesus, and His soon second coming. Jesus sets the example for what He considers acceptable to do on His holy day and it should be made the most desirable and enjoyable days out of the whole week, bringing Him honor and glory. :)

So, Jesus was asked to give some sort of sign to prove he was the one. Do you know what the only sign he gave was? Most people dont. And even when they read it they still cant see it. (which does not mean in the tomb or grave). Jesus willingly went with the officers at His betrayal of Judas on a Thursday night. Friday before the Sabbath was His crucifixation. Sunday morning He rose.
@sleanos People get hung of with a particular phrase in scripture and INSIST Jesus had to be in the grave 3 days and 3 nights or some kind of rendition of it. The crux of the matter is that Jesus willingly handed Himself over to the authorities under the control of the Devil starting Thursday night and that is where the 3 nights and 3 days begin.

There were two sabbaths the week Jesus was crucified not one and there was a day in between them. When the women got to the tomb he was out, read it yourself.
