  • whomever installed it, used too much teflon tape and then cranked the male adapter in too tight. The result is a cracked multi port. Turn off system, Take it apart. remove the said male adapter. remove the teflon tape form the fitting. Apply pvc glue + primer to the adapter + inside of the leaking multiport. Then screw the male adapter with the glue back into the multiport. let cure for 3 hours. If this does not work, then your multi port is ruined and you need a new one. sry :-(

  • Something's wrong with the G-Diffuser

  • lol haha

  • Too bad Leslie's doesn't have any outside service, i know for a fact (I work there)

  • you should have installed it yourself then said you installed it bad

  • Fix it yourself then. People in general are not interested in helping morons

  • that is real typical, a customer with a 5+ year old valve that has failed, and he'd blame his own mom if he thought it would get him a new one free of charge. we waste so much time having to deal with people trying to get something for nothing. also, you can see there's a leak in the waste line in the 1st 5 seconds of this video, so probably a bad spider gask as well

  • The black pipe under the valve has algae growing on it. You see the back to back 90s? There would be blue glue where the joint comes together. And in the other video, you can see grey glue; we don't use that. Why didn't you show us the whole filter? I know...because it's old.

  • I'm a Leslie's tech and I'm VERY good at what I do. I, for one, would never do a job that looks like that. It is true that we may have some techs that aren't that good at their job. Those techs don't last very long, so don't let that scare you completely away. We also have the best techs in the world and this company will ALWAYS stand by their work. On the other hand, that is not a new install. Look at how dirty that valve is. (cont. in nezt comment)

  • this is why i lean to do things myself, if your willing to invest a lot money into somthing you better know what your getting into. BTW I have never had a problem with Leslie's Pool. ehow(dot)com is a great place to help you out with how to do stuff toolshed.

  • i work for a pool company and we have to repair alot of leslie's shitty mistakes.

better off to pay a professional to come out and install it. at least you know youre gonna have a warranty on the work.

  • Just installed a new motor and older pump that Leslie's supposed had replaced the seals in.

Spent a good hour installing all the wiring and new PVC connections just to find out that the shaft seal has a massive leak.

Leslie's sucks. Plan on taking it all apart tomorrow and doing it myself.

  • no surprise. leslie's doesn't train their people.

  • Yes they do. I work for Leslie's.

  • not in my experience.

  • Leslie's techs go through training, based on their existing experience in pool repair. Also, all techs get refresher training as new products become avail. The only down side is they can overbook their techs in the busy season, causing them to have to rush, because the techs are told they have to get to all their jobs.
