I really wonder why dogdens's videos are viewed a lot less than the other versions, even though these seem to have far better quality and definition in comparison.
I admire this guys skill, I do agree that he is very talented, but his awkward facial expressions make me feel VERY uncomfortable, especially those in the beginning.
A lovely technique and sound but style? Mathias (1878)described Chopin as possessing an "alluring, hesitating, gracious, feminine manner, coupled with an air of supreme distintion"...and "holding his shoulders high, after the Polish manner." I do not envisage Chopin as outwardly demonstative. Perhaps, you should restrain the more obvious emotion and let it come through your fingers. Thanks for your music.
Very Fantastic pianist..

To many commentors for
Yundi Lee and (especially) Lang Lang:
You do not like facial expressions?
Facial expressions show they are completely immersed in their music. They one with their music, and awash with real emotions.
If you read facial expressions, you know it is not fake!
Emotional expression, facial expressions,
bodily gestures are expected and sexy hallmarks of true musicianship.
You want to see dead, detached, wax museum like expressions??
Not!
