  • I used to have the purple one :D now i am buying a yellow one for only 3 AUD worth so much more i think lol

  • "Your'e Child Would Love Them".

  • 1. Are these the '80s version of happy nappers and

    2. Why did these come up on google when I searched "puffles"?!

  • I had the white one

  • I wish I could find the rest of the Popples. I only have two of them but I would love to find the rest of the collection

  • Just wondering but i still have my popple.....anybody else like this if ya do?

  • Aww. I remember these. I miss mine. :-(

  • PREPERTOIR#E POPPLE

  • They would stomp the tacos out of critters. Critters was kind of cool though, cheesy but cool.

  • They are the soft version of "Critters"... If they fought the Critters, they would lose.

  • guess which member from our band was in this commercial!!!!! check out our page.. and we will tell u!!!!

  • MOM HERE COMES THE POPPLES FOR YOU CHILD TO MURDER HER!!!

  • I had one of these lol

  • i had one of these, took two hours to stuff it back into a ball, then my brother would unstuff it while i was in the bathroom and i would throw a temper tantrum for two hours :D

  • My brother farted on my Popple. So when I complained there was a smell in the room, he pointed to him and said, "Putter did it." And sure enough Putter smelled like the fart.

  • @skanemermaid If someone farts on something that you put near your face when you sleep, the next thing you know you have Pink Eye in the morning. When I was about 5 years old someone farted on my pillow. In the morning, I got Pink Eye and it sucked o_0

  • I have a small store bought one and a bigger handmade one. My Grandma handmade a lot of my toys. This one, Care Bear, Pound Puppy etc. And I thought she was just being cheap then, but now I appreciate the work and love that went into the toys. I still have them in a box. If I ever have kids I will tell them about how my Grandma would not let us in her sewing room in November and December because our Christmas presents were being made. And I was such a good kid I didn't peak lol!!

  • @Goobian you grandma has a good heart <3 <3~8Beautymoon1000*~<3

  • @Beautymoon1000 She would also make Cabbage Patch Kid clothes and Barbie clothes when her eyes were better. I keep all that handmade stuff. I asked her last year why she made it instead of buying it at the store and she said it was fun to make those toys for you. And of course clothes too were made for us and family members.

  • I was given a pink one on my birthday about 20 years ago. I enjoyed it.

  • I will get two small popples next week ;) hehe

  • LOVE POPPLES! Best cartoon of the 80's/90's :D

  • Classic.

  • What are popples?

  • I still have one!

  • espn

  • Forever alone.

  • Yay 80's

  • I got a White One IT SO CUTE

  • i had one of these when i was a kid

  • DEMON CARE BEARS XD

  • yea popples implode... lol

  • I think Rebecca Black's mom narrated this commercial

"They're funny, they're new cuz they turn inside out!"

  • This is where the Pillow Pet people got there idea.

  • I had the one that was a baby. I got rid of her and now I miss her. Lol

  • This reminds me of Happy Nappers and Pillow Pets...still can't get the first one's jingle out of my head...

  • @stogucheme And their plastic friends, Bakugan and Zoobles.

80S TOY FRANCHISES ARE COMING BACK WITH A VENGEANCE.

  • I had the white one with a blue belly and nose, orange cheeks, yellow hair, a blue and yellow tail puff, and a blue and a pink ear... the one on the right at the very beginning.... I miss that little rag...

  • I have the white, purple, and orange one. Wouldn't take anything for them.

  • 80s, Times of hard core consumerism: popples, rainbow brite, little ponies, transformers, barbies, strawberry shortcake items, care bears.

  • @Evelyn40420 and I almost forgot to mention Cabbage Patch!

  • I was born in 1977 and had the Blue and Green one. My sister had the Pink one. I used to take them on all the car rides.

  • i have the purple one! had since i was 1. I took it everywhere with me. My brother cut off all its hair, I was so upset but i found one in value village for 1.99 two days ago the exact same one in perfect condition almost brand new!! Had a white one too don't know what happened to it

  • @KDMDT I had the purple one too from the time I was about 4, and I loved that thing so much! I had it on my bed until I was like 11, and I still kept it around (although hidden) till I moved out at 15. One day back in 2004 I was in a thrift store in Florida and I found the big blue one and I bought it for my 4 year old son, and he used it as a pillow till he was six. I still keep my eyes open for those '80's toys for my kids so they will know how cool they were

  • i totally had a popple- but what again is the advantage of having a stuffed animal that you can tuck into a ball? hahaha, its just a weird concept...

  • ah man can't believe i for got bout that one. but never had one as a kid

  • I wanted one really bad, but I never got one... :( ... :P

  • i stil have my popple.. so does my bro. his was the football. i had the flower.

  • Man, I LOVED my Popples!

  • I found one of these at The Salvation army MINT! And sold it on ebay for $50:) Only paid .99 cents for it! Awesome!!

  • I remember these! I had big one the was white.

  • When I was little I had a big fuzzy ball. Could that have been a Popple? I didn't realize it turned into an animal. I just thought it was a ball.

  • I was actually born in 1995, but my parents had saved me and my brother a ink and a blue Popple to have and keep as a collectible from the 80's that we never got to see. I thought that was an awesome idea! I'm 15 now and I still have mine. It may not be useful for me anymore, but being the nostalgic person that I am, I love mine! I love remnants of times that are gone forever. When I was little, I could never pop it in and out - we always had to get our older brother to do it for us. lol

  • i was born in 80 and I LOVED THESE!!! LOL I just bought the white one on ebay... i want to but Little bit which was one of the purple ones i had too. and i also had a couple mini ones. :) Toys of the 80s were awesome!

  • I think I had one.

  • They're funny, they're new, because they turn inside out.

  • @spacewaffle LOL, something tells me this was written by a non-native English speaker. "Mom, here come the Popples, for your child!"

  • @imyoursuperior2 Probably they were one of the Japanese people who worked on the show!

  • I had a purple popple, I almost forgot all about them, 80's ruled!

  • Still got my original Popple. It's in the ad, pink on on the left at the end. Have had it since I was 3 back in 1986 and it travels with me wherever I go, even when I lived in another country and had to pack everything into boxes to move back, Popples got placed in my carry-on luggage. It's the one thing I kept close all these years and is still in pretty good condition...immortal plushie. :)

  • I had the light pink one. I loved that thing and am pretty sure that I used it as a pillow.

  • they look loveable

  • OMG I want a popple! I used to have a piggy bank popple!

  • my popple came with me EVERYWHERE! I wonder whatever became of her? (yes it was a girl..she was purple!)

  • lmao the 80s pillow pets!

  • I was born in 97 and I got one (i actually wanted a care bear but i got this instead) shes has pink fur with purple hair and pink and purple ears she used to light up i had her since before kindergarten

  • I have a popple some where....

  • OMG!!! I had a Popple! i had the white one featured in this commercial. I loved that thing. i think i still have it somewhere.

  • i still have my popple! my 5 year old cousin wants it now!

  • I don't remember this commercial but I had one of these. It was the smaller version. Yellow, with pink hair. Pretty sure its name was Potato Chip. (Its actual name, not what I named it)

  • i thought it said poopies Lol

  • the 80's commercials really were odd 1 when they star it it say mum here come the popples 4 ur child! NOOO I THOUGHT THEY WERE FOR OLD MEN TO SIT ON! I still have popples the 2007 1s were very odd they talked!!

  • @droplollypop

    I have the doll.

  • For the life of me, I could NOT turn my Popple back into a ball. I could get him from ball to Popple easy, but cramming him back into the ball was too hard for my weak, girlish hands, I guess.

God, the 80's were a golden age.

  • @JimVarneysGhost same here, it was too hard! I was very disappointed and got angry.

  • @JimVarneysGhost Well, they never said anything about popping back into a ball did they? They only pop out of pockets. Cramming them back in was ALWAYS another question all together.

And yes. The 80's were definitely a golden age.

  • lol I had one of those when I was young

  • i still have my popple.

  • i has two of these!!! man toys were so cool back then and cheaper

  • I had the white one

  • I have the tye-dye one all though i think it is from 2001-2002, it is missing a nose xD

  • Boy did I get my parents spend good money on a load crap.

  • i still have my purple popple!! :D

  • i miss being a kid :(

  • Omg they are so cute. I want a pink one and a white one.

  • OMG my sis had potato chip and i now have it . Its cute and all but it freaks me out at night ! LOL

  • had the white one, but he was my teddy bears friend, not my friend. lol

  • @dandydoo2 Awwww. heheheheh!

  • Popples has chortles

  • I had a Popples lunchbox when I was 5!

  • There's nothing quite like the 1980's!!!

  • Wow, I never knew the Shadow Theif was a toy..........

  • Yes. I had one haha

  • i miss my popple

  • O: thats actually kinda cute

  • "a soft fuzzy ball, that turns into a friend."

    ahhh hahahaaa

  • Might sound a little cliche', but I'm black and of course my mom got me a basketball Popple.

  • @radix9523 Hey man, let me tell you this about that...it doesn't matter if it's cliche or not, because you were still one of the lucky people to have gotten one of them. :)

  • i have one of those

  • I had potato chip! :-D

  • Each sold separately... :(

  • Thats quite the jingle :)

  • I had the orange one!

  • I want Potato Chip the small yellow one XD

  • On Ebay you can get a popple that is cost 2,3,4,or 5! You should look!

  • @PullipFan677 Not if I see them they don't....

  • Popples are so darn cute!

  • i had one but the tail came off = (

  • bellissimi!!!!

  • omg i had the one at 0:20, the pink one, i think i still have it

  • i had 2 or 3

  • I had the blue one @ 0:12 and I wish I knew what happened to it. I don't know if it got thrown out years ago or if it got put up in the attic of my parents' house with some of my other old childhood things. But as inanimate objects go, it was a really good friend and I miss it.

  • I had the soccer ball one.

  • Damn I missed being a Kid in the 80's

  • This commercial is really about murdering babies.

    Truth.

  • I have the baby popple :)

  • I still have my orange popple, though it's missing the tail, which my brother cut off :(

  • POP YR PIMPLE

    POP YR POPPPLE

  • I had one, lost it :( I do remember I left it somewhere when went on vacation.

  • I have one and I love it :P

  • wanna sell it?

  • Yeah I still have mine...they came with a booklet which described all of their characters. I got mine on december 5th 1986.

Still next to my pillow for over 23 yrs.

    And I'm so NOT gay.

  • Same here. Not sure when I got it, but I was very youn (1 or 2, I think). Still have it next to my bed and I'm 24 now.

  • I have the purple mini one. My mom wouldn't buy the bigger one cuz she was worried it would make me look gay...Uh...too late.

  • LOL! How old were you when your mom bought you that? Who cares if you look gay when you are a little boy?! Little children should NEVER know what "being gay" means anyways! SAme with watching Disney "subliminal" sex messages. Kids don't care! LOL! Well...I still have my mini white one..and I turned out gay! LOL!!

  • I had the big white one and my sister had the little pink one...

  • I still have my popple

  • I never had one of these, all my other friends did though...

  • 0:25

    girly girl, boy, tomboy

  • This song is jawdroppingly bad.

  • I had none!!!

  • POP them like a PIMPLE.

  • I had the white one!

  • I had the purple one!

  • I had one. But my mom got me a boy Popple instead of a girl. I wanted the white and pink one. lol They didn't show that they had a long tail.

  • This is my fetish.

  • Omg I had the pink one!! Oh the good ol days!! I dunno what happened to it tho. Haha I miss being a kid! -_-

  • oh man memories!!!! i had a baby one the tail would rattle! ha

  • weird infomerical

  • I always wanted the soccer ball one.

  • i miss the 80's every day.

  • Yeah, what ever happened to the lead-based paint and sawdust cereal?

  • We ate it all.

  • I know what I want for Christmas :)

  • Weve got two names... Popples or taste-icles. xD

  • OMG POPPLE. This is the toy I always wanted when I was a kid!

I have to go buy all of them. Where can I buy retro 80s junk!

  • Hah, I used to have one that turned into a basketball. Completely forgot about them.

  • I loved these things. We had several. They were so much fun!

  • yea.. this is an evil creature

  • I am trying to remember the last time I saw acommercial that specifically adressed parents...

  • They have enough back skin to enclose themselves in... that's pretty sickening when you think about it.

  • It is when you phrase it that way. Living ursine foreskin. What has science done?

  • I've got a pal that pops out of pockets...

  • oh ho!

  • They just don't make commercials like this anymore.. YOUR CHILD WILL LOVE THEM!

  • HAHAH I remember Popples, I never had one but one of my friends did. I think I also watched the show a bit.

  • So...... basically a retarded turtle or what?

  • I remember this from about 15 years ago. I had a friend who had one. I actually thought theywere cool because they could turn into a ball, and yeah, they do go flat after a while If I remember. I would always turn them into a ball and then have there tail hang out so I could swing it like a ball and chain or just hang it over somehting. They were pretty cool none the less.

  • wow....

  • So... Sonic is one of those bitch sons?

  • Popples will rape your soul.

    Inside out.

  • I remember those things. They used to be so flat after a while.

  • who was singing here,it sounded like someone reading a simplified product description...oh really, they pop open?why thank you, helpful singing lady

  • My favorite:

    "They're funny

    They're new

    'cause they turn inside-out"

  • +1 lol

  • WHO is the ad agency responsible for this trash? are the still in business??!

  • oh man, popples... i had a soccer ball one. It stayed in soccer ball form 99% of the time... and was used as one :)

  • Evil. From the inside out.

  • They turn inside out and eat you alive !!! LOL XD

  • Creepiest... effin... ad... ever...

  • I know I had one of these...but I can't remember which color.

    The white one maybe?

  • i wish my mom had kept my popples

  • I put a popple on a ceiling fan once and it was thrown around the room

  • I hated the one we had when I was a kid. It was hard to turn inside out and I was usually stuck playing with a half-popped popple. :(

  • I still have 4 popples! YAY! :3

  • that is a terrible song. i remember stealing the popple from the girl next to me in 1st grade and throwing it out in the hallway. aaahhhh good old 80's.

  • "There funny there new cause they turn inside out?" XD "Your kids with love them!"

    :3 LOL

  • i think those exact lines were the reason i asked for one as a child.
