Falcon Crest Season 9 Credits

In the last eight seasons of Falcon Crest, the theme song was more classy and glamorous, now this one is more dark and intense. This was an attempt to revitalize the show, but it turned out a final nail in the coffin since some of its key characters left the show in the last few seasons.

It would have made more of an impact, if Susan Sullivan was included in the credits. Her 'Also Starring' status in the opening scenes, obviously indicated that her character wasn't going to stick around.

The continuity at the start of Season nine was terrible. Several of the Season eight finale characters were missing, such as Nick Agretti and members of the Ortega family, with no explanation of where they were.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually liked this opening theme. The only bad thing was there was no Ana Alicia , Susan Sullivan, Margaret Ladd or Jane Wyman (who disappeared for most of the last season)

Jane Wyman was dealing with health problems in the last season of the show. So the writers put the character of Angela in a coma for the majority of the season. In my opinion Falcon Crest could have been in the same league as Dallas or Dynasty if the writers of the show weren't so inhibited about what they could do.

Falcon Crest was a medium between Dynasty and Dallas. It had the shocking, but low key storylines like Dallas, but has some of the glitz of Dynasty.

The dead bird on land represented evil. Did it also represent Maggie drowning in the pool when her ring (which she was wearing) got stuck in the drain? Its been a few years since I saw this episode.

Well, the producers of Falcon Crest were trying to revitalize the show after seeing how Knots Landing had finally pumped some new life into their storylines and had gotten considerably higher in ratings. The plan would have worked for Falcon Crest if they hadn't killed off so many popular and key characters.

When I saw this for the first time, I knew that when I had seen the dead Falcon that Falcon Crest as we knew it was indeed dead.

It was meant to say that the "old" Falcon Crest was dead. Season 9 was meant as a re-birth to the tired old nighttime soaper.

I love this opening! Do you have the final episode? I'd love to hear and see the full ending credits to Falcon Crest in English as that other guy had in Spanish. The wedding scene into the closing credits. I'd also love to see Maggie's death, Angela's suffocation scene, or any big moments from the final season if you have them.
